that was soooo sick when he transfered and dubs twelved over it!! did any one else hit that in the finals??? i did not notice. it was kinda weird how the tv announcers did not even mention it, im not sure it they noticed, or just didn't talk about it, but regardless that was my favorite shot of the night next to henriks. but did any one else hit that jump to a transfer ilke that? skiiers or boarders? just wondering is all.
 
^ There was a second ramp next to the big air jump that wasn't lined up with the landing. It was also less poppy and set further back. Sammy hit the more mellow one which requires you to carve left so you make it to the landing.

It was pretty sick, I didn't realize how far off the landing it was.
 


watch in this vid, sammy hit the wedge next to the one henrik hit. Look how far off the landing it is. He had to gap it, and he threw a dub 12.
 
I don't think he hit that jump, even the skier cross dudes barely made it high enough to make it over that knuckle and they went huge. Plus, sammy never did a switch 12? i dunno, video is needed for this thread to be worthwhile.
 
sammy hit the big air jump on the skier's right, and landed in the regular landing on at least one of his runs. LVV called it live, but MD and uncle E didn't make a deal of it.

that kicker was closed for SNB big air. it looked super fast and didn't give you as much hang time.

it was more risk for sure.

weird, he definitely had more air time on the next jump when he hit the real jump. Xgames needs to just hire jon, this shit would be epic.
 
watch the second vid and at about 6 seconds you can see the two jumps, sammy tranfers from the right jump to the big air landing on the left with a cork 10. so sick
 
yeah its a bummer they didn't mention it just cause it was a really really large and very unique jump. sooo sick! luck van valin at least called it out during the comp which was tight. tv announcers should have tho imo, just because he was the only dude hitting it that way, ( i think). sammy got da steeze
 
i did wonder why sammy had such a flat aitime on one trick compared to everyone else...now i know why :)
 
Pretty sure Sammy and Gus were the only ones hitting it. Gus hit it switch. Easily 100+ ft to the knuckle from the skier X jump.
