Sammy Carlson

Who thinks he should get his own pro model? It's been so long, and why does dumont have his own and he doesnt? They both slay and both should get a pro model.
I would buy sammy's ski

the thruster/suspcet were and are like his pro models. but yea they should atleast put is name on it or something. but then if they did that they would have to give charles a promodel and abma a pro model too. personaly mike douglus should get his own jesus hes been around longer then everyone on the salomon team,

abma is getting a pro modle next year from what i hear, called the "show-gun". deffinately wanna hear some more about it

isnt the suspect the same ski as the dumont with less edge Armour? if so it really isn't Sammy;s ski at all.....

sammy is a really cool guy, hes super chill. He has worked hard the last few years and deserves something, i would probably buy his model too

wait how do you work hard being a pro skier? he's doing the most wonderfull thing in the world, not like if he was training to run faster and shit hes just skiing a lot and progressing. I mean, I wish i could work really hard on my skiing but i didnt have the talent and the ballz to be a pro, it has nothing to do with hard working to me not like if he was doing something he didnt love... everything you can do to be better for skiing is hella fun(ski, tramp, blade, water ramps etc.). but yeah sammy's hella sick and a super cool guy

maybe they should stop giving out pro models all together cause if simon gets one then there are a lot of other guy that should get one too. then you would have like 4 different park skis to choose from that were all virtually the same ski.

i'm not saying it's easy to be that good but he was born that way, even if i skied everyday of my life, i doubt i could be as good as him. And why would he even go to the gym, he's skiing like everyday but i'm not hating just wondering cause the pro skiers have all my respect..

Wait, how do you make a career out of being a top pro skier, representing a company, putting input into production of gear, skiing your ass off at comps when maybe you just want to ski powder and its icy as fuck, and you have to compete and not call that working hard?
Everything that guy does is basically common knowledge to the whole ski community... He is in a way working full time, double overtime 24-7 365 days a year.
Ignant.

i'm not saying its easy and what they do is useless! i'm just saying they dont work HARD they don't have to fuckin work their ass of all they do is ski and they live off their talent and they progress, it's good! but just saying that thei're not like pushing theirselves to do shit they dont wanna do, i mean doing a competition instead of slaying pow isnt the biggest problem you can have you know..

.....And going to shoots (again to represent their product, and not always for skiing) sitting down for hours doing one interview, pushing themselves through injuries, cross season training (and dont sasy you dont think they do it), They will all be paying lots of taxes, settting up travel schedules for their whole year. Fitting in play and work is not easy, and making sure they aren't always playing isn't easy either. Um fuck, if I ride at an icy contest and Im feeling sick the only one who is going to care about it is me. For a pro or even an AM for that matter will be worried about how their sponsor feels about them blowing off a contest. Like any job, you always feel secure in it until one thing goes wrong, then your starting to fear for your job. Its a career to them and you know it. Its just because you said one thing without thinking about it for a little more than 10 seconds and now your defending your ignorance. Thats why it takes about 10 -15 seconds for the page to load before you can type out what you think in the message box. Skiers (all of us) are very hard workers and we all know it too, albeit we do have soo much fun doing what we love we lose site of the fact that we are working hard. Its the same with any career, if you love what you do, then its less of a job to you and its more fun, at the same time its going to make you work your ass off to continue to do what you love. I hope you like that job you've got now, you might be there for a while. If you have a career, then you understand what Im ranting about.
Woo, big rant. I welcome all your hatred you can aim at my name.

wow dude i never sayd they werent doing shit i jsut sayd that i cant believe that they are working HARD if you compare it to any other job... but ok what ever dude you're right skiers are the guys who work the hardest in life and i pity the fool who's a pro skier who makes a couple of grand per competitions + a couple of grand for sponsorship etc etc you're right dude fuck man theire life is fuckin harsh!

You have no idea how ignorant you are to this. If you seriously think that Sammy/ any other top pro doesn't work hard and work there asses of every day then you are legally retarded.

See, its like you still have no idea what Im trying to explain. I did compare their career to any other career, and I made a point by saying that if you love your job, your going to work so much harder so you can keep that job. And as for what you said, you do not speak the truth, your just bitter, get over it. All give you some Karma.

are you serious. to a good competitor and be where sammy carlson is, you have to work incredibly hard. is not just something sammy does on the weekends. hes up early every day possible working o be a stronger skier. being a pro skier is for reals the funnest job where your really have to work hard.

you know, you can still work hard in a job that you love. a person's work ethic isn't defined by how miserable their job is.

Ok well then I would like to relinquish my current recreational schedule here in college and get on doing something with my life. I will therefore become a full time skier. It's tough, but if you can dream it, you can do it.

Sammy kills it! Hes gonna have a great year this year judging from his footy from up at Whistler this summer.

i agree with what your trying to say, but not what you said. at the point where sammy and most other pros are at, doing what they do every day isn't considered work. it's their life, their dream, and they love it. repping a company, helping make gear, skiing all the time, competing with friends, it all could be considered work. but that would definitely be the wrong attitude. as a pro skier, they should embrace what they have, and consider all that stuff fun, not work.
and i might add, although not the only reason, one of the reasons that sammy works double overtime is because he has adhd like crazy haha

Sammy is definitely the man, but I think if anybody on Salomon (including Dumont) should have a pro model its Abma. He is leading the charge on so many different aspects of skiing. He's the closest thing that Salomon has to a Pep or Pollard as far as charging on all fronts and doing it all. Im sure he would have SICK input on building a solid ski too. Wait a minute...

Pretty sure he has one in the works though.

well said. the most miserable job i can think of (assembly line work) requires little to no work ethic. while the most lucrative and fun jobs, from what i've heard anyway (doctors and lawyers) require unbelievable amounts of initiative and work ethic.

And I agree with what you say. Its refreshing to have someone serve up a good argument.
I can't find anything wrong with the rebuttal. Although, Im still sticking to my original point of view.
