Sammy Carlson Post ACL Tear

Has he really even recovered from his injury? Has he even done a triple since? I just saw the results of some of the grand prix events and he was way down there.

Its just a shame because that xgames everyone was like....that jump is NOT right....and then (as everyone hated on me for) Mike Douglas went on air defending the jump as very safe. Then like 5 minutes later Sammy tore his ACL.

Or I am wrong and he just had a bad season.

The dude is killing it, just because hes not top 10 every event doesnt mean the injury is affecting him still. Check out his hood edits from the summer or his real ski stuff from last year (which he won)

...okay he might not be the same in comps now but he won real ski backcountry last year so he can definitely still ski

Dude's always gonna have style, even if he was on a monoski he would be killin it, I was kind of talking comps. Which obviously meant something to him personally since he competed so hard, despite any personal feelings towards comp skiing one may have. And if he lost the ability to do that its a shame

It wasn't his ACL. MCL, and it didn't need surgery

Different direction I think, plus his style is a bit flaily I think for today's top level slope comps

any sort of injury like that will make you reassess where you are in your skiing career. is it worth it for sammy to continue pushing at comps? probably not, so he is refocusing on other stuff

All around fav skier. The dude absolutely charges in the back country and does comps for fun! Sounds nice!

Sammy stopped taking comps super seriously well before that injury happened. Just watch the beginning of my friends a pro.

I think Sammy's stock is pretty high. It seems like he has the in's with just about every film company out there, and I couldn't think of one that would not like to have him on board.

Super versatile from park to BC. He's going to be crushing it for a LONG time.
