gahh why did they only show half of the paraglide shot that went right over the lip?!?!? that was the sickest one. Still rediculously sick and deserved the win for sure
 
To be honest I was a bet skeptical when I first heard he won, seemed like dumont was really throwing down all week and I hadnt heard as much about Sammy, but holy shit that was epicness incarnate. That blew my mind~

def the best from the vids we've seen so far, i thought simon dumont's vid was really good too, i may have liked it a little more, in fact all of the vids are simply amazing which is why it was such a good event
 
Holy, Fuck. Even with all the expectations and hype, it still blew my mind. Sammy is soo stylie, I loved the pokes, creative jibs, and the sw cork 5 noses especially. jesus.

dear god....i would give anything to get to hit any of those features....that was dope. Andreas' and that one are my favs so far.
 
I didn't think edits could possibly be much sicker than andreas' and simons'. ive been proven wrong. That was amazing! the fact that he had rails and urban stuff put him over the edge on the others
 
the edit was good but I think that from the videos that are online now, this was the one with the lowest quality of cinematography (except for the glide shots which were insane). Sammy up the ante with his skiing though, and Nate Abott's photography was perfect.

Props, but I think Andreas should have won.
 
i have to be honest..that wasn't all that great.

i mean, yes it was, but compared to andrea's, it wasnt even close in my opinion. i was bored during sammy's edit..something about it was really textbook and stale. realy sick, but not as good as hatveit's

the paragliding footy looked soo smooth and up close I wish they'd do stuff like that in ski movies more often. I mean, I just saw PBP's Yeah Dude but I'd rather watch a ~5min clip like that than a whole movie of mediocre shots and editing

no hate to PBP, I just think they could've done better with Yeah Dude
 
I think Sammy definitely deserved the win out of the edits we've seen. In terms of cinematography and editing (excluding the para-shots) I think both Andreas' and Simon's probably had Sammy's edit beat. But the photography Sammy's was the clear winner for me. In terms of the skiing they were all insane with Andreas probably being the most tech (sw left/right 10 etc) (still stylish though) and Simon throwing the most insane individual tricks (Cork 3's?), but at the same time the style and creativity of Sammy easily took it for me. With the fact that he widely explored outside of the features.. sick urban and the flat 3 off the wall being a standout! I think it is difficult to argue that Sammy isn't the deserving winner!
 
Wow... epic video. Holy SHIT haha, I would've hated being a judge in this event. That being said... easily the one of the single greatest events in the history of the sport.
 
soo sick, definitely deserved the win. photography was so far ahead of everyone else it was ridiculous.
 
DAMN. That was such a sick edit, the paragliding shots were unreal. I don't like the helicopter follow cams much, but that paragliding stuff was so ridiculously sick. The Abbot shots were tip top as usual.

These guys deserve so much props for this. Fucking amazing.
 
how bout those pics!!!! sam dug up some graves to get him to shoot for him. he was my favoprite photog back when freeze was around. glad to see more of his work. but yeah, amazing fucking edit. props to sam
