why do you people even care what some 'pro' thinks. People whoa re justifying what he said say 'WELL HE CAN DO SWITCH UNNAT 9'S' do you think I give a shit about what tricks someone can throw, honestly? Ns.com while its pretty stupid has hooked me up with people to ski with, told me about premiers, helped me with product reveiws (I dont subscribe to any magazines) and tons of other information it would have taken a lot longer to get elsewhere.

THE FACT THAT WE CARE TOO MUCH ABOUT OPINIONS OF PRO'S IS WORSE FOR SKIING THAN NS.COM IN MY OPINION. they are just people I love how everyone talks about them like gods. Work the nightshift and you can ski just as much as most pro's. And thats the point right? To ski as much as possible? For me thats all my goal is.

I have to say that I actually partly agreed with him when I read that. While this site helps the skiing community expand and get out information, the attitude demonstrated by a good majority of people on the site is way below what it should be at. I'm just going to leave it at that.

well, theres assholes everywhere. if you really want to get technical, you could say that the lift lines and little 3 year old kids that cruise through the park unknowingly are the worst thing for the ski industy (not saying they arent though). theres a bad side to every fabulous thing. newschoolers provides alot of info for all skiers, brings us together and gives us a sense of community. the people that are dedicated to skiing and the people that surround them in the community will always be there to keep teh shittalkers the fuck out.

I learned so much by being here. I've learned about up and commers..all the tricks(I came here not knowing what the fuck a Dspin was..etc.) all the new ski companies. The site spits out SO much information, and brings us together as a community. We are hundreds of times smaller than the massive follow-the-crowd snowboard crew in the U.S. Newschoolers.com has its downfalls..but its GREAT. Without it, I don't know quite where I'd be in skiing now. A lot of good things happened BECAUSE of this site. I definitely would have never ended up doing design for Liberty, or improved my work with the GD Cult.

Its bullshit to say that this site sucks.

yeah, for real! four and a half years ago i bumped into this site and discovered a totally aspect of skiing. i soaked up all of the info ns had to offer, drew a passion from these resources and began to build a basis for the derivation of skiing that we live for today. now, here i am, wanting to work for the ski industry all because of ns.

Being out there skiing every day, good or bad, just playing around with friends, with no contests or filming- that is the real spirit of skiing for me. that is why i started skiing, and if i lose those moments that is what will make me stop skiing.

The question is how much is bad press bad for 4Frnt.

I dont know this Sammy guy but it is not the point. NS is pretty big. one if not the biggest ski sites in N.A. whether or not the Sammy said what he felt, I cant see how it helps 4Frnt. When kids come on here and say 'dude what skis are rad man'? '4frnts stls man bomber skis'.

Now you might get 'fuck 4frnt they think they rule and can talk shit about people'.

This might not be the case but it is how it looks. Joke or not the guy is reping a company and must watch what he says.
