Sammy c getting a pro ski??

thats sick the shaping will probly be somewhat like the thruster

i have that poster hes looking at in the pic

I think i remeber a member on here's friend is doing the topsheet graphics for that ski.

It will be alot like the thruster i bet, but even softer. It should be a sick ski.

Idk if it would be a price point ski. I think the flyer and thruster are already priced for a budget. I think it will be more than the thruster and less than the spk?

you have a point sir...i still still think it will be like an invader but i think it will be less than the thruster bc the thruster is at 450 and it seems like the flyer is more of a grom ski? just IMO

im not saying he doesnt deserve one, but look at the others on the team like gangier, i think he should have one before sammy in my mind

yea but thats not what matters^

sammy carlson will become the public figure for salomon, he gets way more coverage and vid segments and does a ton of comps. he will sell pro models. charles gagnier could only sell a fraction of what sammy could. Im not saying charles isnt more deserving, but sammy makes more sense.

there might be othere salomon riders that deserve it and are better than him, but ts just that sammy is getting hs name out so much more than say charles....he never competes

i thought the flyer was just a little people ski. i dont think salomon really has a price point ski.

you bring up a good point and i guess from a financial stand point it would be better for salomon to give it to sammy

Salomon dont make true Pro models, neither do Dynastar, just changing the graphic and beefing up a ski doesnt make it a Pro model.... a pro model is made from the ground up every single detai decided by the rider... Armada make true pro models, 4frnt , Line even K2 but salomon has always used the pro model idea and never doneit properly, Ie. the 1080 pro models Vinnie, JF, Pocket Rocket JP Auclair, the Dumont, ect. Salomon sucks they do good things for skiing but all they care about is money .

Good points with Salomon and Dynastar not making real pro models. Head doesn't either. The only ski I skied from Salomon was the gun and I didn't like it at all, it just felt weird. I don't think Salomon is a bad company though.

ive seen it in front of me! well not the graphic because they are blank on the top sheet but they look really sick, he was skiing on them all break up at meadows

thats kind of weird that dumont and sammy are gettin 176 pro models. kind of wish they were making more of a 178or 180 because the dumonts are pretty light and i bet with the wood core sammy's will be pretty light

What do you know about head?? the jo pro was entirely designed with jon olsson, the new flex pattern, the materials, the lentghts, the graphics, etc.

anyways, it says on that site that TJ just signed with dragon. interesting.

YEAH SAMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i dont know about havin 4 skis that are very similar comin from the same company is a good idea

ya sammy's been rocking them the past couple days at meadows, i remember seeing him riding some weird skis w/ a blank top sheet so i asked my friend what they were and he expained it was sammys new pro model

ya its about time salomon figured out how much sammy gives to them, its about time they got him a pro model. congrats man.

i dont know, i'm not sure how many times i could say fugative in a minute.

key word was "seems" considering skis such as THall, Dumont, JO Pro, JPJulien, Seth, EP Pro arn't exactly price point skis, but

hold your breath i'll get back to you on your math problem

right and my point was that it didn't seem fitting to give him his first pro model ski being directed as a "price point ski" just a thought

Head I agree with.

But the El Rey? The lower end Salomons like the Flyer and Thruster? These are price point skis, sir.

yeah el rey i couldn't think of the name for a rebuttle. is'nt there a coda too or something like that.

Yeah it'll probably be like the thruster because in every picture or video you see of him hes riding the thrusters. In Seven Sunny Days on one of the urbans he is using some old ass pair of salomons.

The reason they are all the same type of ski is because that is there freestyle skis. THey make alot of other skis you know.

Salomon does innovate quite I bit, I think.

They were the first to really give the push for the twin-tip ski. The SPK boots are far different than boots before, built from the ground up for park skiing.

The points on their approach to pro-models is valid. They're a marketing tool more than anything, the rider doesn't really seem to have a lot of say in the ski compared to companies like Armada or 4frnt.

sammys pretty much already has a pro model, the thruster, they should just change the name to sammys thrusting thruster or something along those lines
