hey guys. i am writing a persuasive essay on the effects of salvia on the body vs. the effects of marijuana on the body. which one of the two do you think shold be illegal? if you could back it up with a few facts that would be cool. i just wanna see what you guys think. thanks!
 
salvia: can traumatize you for life

can bring schizophrenia to the surface(i think maybe)

can distort time haaaaaaaaaardcore so much that in a 10 minutes you live a lifetime

weed: is fun

you still have a very good grip of reality

you can't od

thc is an anti carcinogen(which means if you vape weed is GOOD for you!)

theres lots of other stuff but im too lazy like prevents depression etc.
 
You can't really compare the two. Weed gives you a high (among other effects as stated above), while Salvia can ttake you on a psychodelic trip. Noone's gonna use Salvia at a party, that'll be fucked up, while weed has a lot more users who are likely to cause problems, so from the goverment's point of view i can see why it's banned. Salvia users either try it once and then go back to weed, or they use it for 'spiritual' purposes. Weed, on the otherhand is used recreationally and, well, yeah, you can see what i'm getting at.

I can see why weed is banned, and it makes sense that salvia isn't.

Ive watched a kid try to jump out of a 3 story window and have to be held down cus he was freaking out from salvia, after he came down and calmed down we all got blunted and listened to quasimoto
 
Yea salvia can really fuck with your mind if you aren't prepared for it...Like all the youtube vids of people having their friends take a rip and then fucking with the friend while they are tripping...that's just fucked up and I don't understand why they do it...
 
man we were talkin about this yesterday. we are selling alvia in our BS mothers day plant sale. Maybe my friend will buy some, and experiment.
 
See I think the opposite. I cant understand why weed is illegal and yet salvia isnt. From my perspective, no one who smokes a bowl is going to trip the hell out and do something stupid/crazy considering you have control overself while you're high. Then on salvia, you dont have any control and the potential consequences are greater. Maybe Im missing something. Honestly I dont know. If so can someone enlighten me on this! hahaha
 
I didn't mind my trip with salvia. I only smoked 10x out of a bong...but it was really really intense. Wow. I can't really describe it, but I had a trip sitter and it was all good.
 
ive heard many things about people who smoke salvia during their lunch breaks if they work at a stressful job or something along those lines, so that they can just trip out and be on another planet for a little bit, then get back to work
 
Weed definitely should be legal compared to salvia. I smoke weed everyday and find it very relaxing and can function like a normal human when i smoke weed. When ive smoked salvia I can say i would never be able to drive a car or even try to function for that matter. You can have open eye visuals with salvia and uncontrollable laughter. Salvia is pretty much a short lived acid trip to make a quick comparison.
 
As of January first salvia is illegal in illinois i could truley care less it fucked me up and if you want the closest story i can give you go to the eurowid site and check the construction paper world thats prolly the closest descrpition...
 
i think both should be legal, but in comparison for negative effects:

weed: gives you lung problems in the long run, not necissarely cancer

affects your memory in the mid-long run

can possibly make you lazier

can be hazardous to people with heart/blood pressure problems

can make the user somewhat dependent on it, depending on the personality

salvia: could possibly give you lung problems in the long run

makes your brain go crazy for the short term

most body effects are unknown

 
this is only proven with teenagers who haven't completely matured yet, it can actually be very motivating if you think right. I get a lot accomplished when I am high
 
I think that one of the main reasons that weed is illegal is because they have yet to develop an easy test for it. We have the breathalizer for drunk driving but nothing that you can do on the side of the road for stoned driving.

Salvia is legal because it's not addictive (please don't argue that weed isn't either, I have yet to see a salvia head but you'll find potheads everywhere), and the 15 minute trip really cuts down on the amount of damage you can do to yourself and others.
 
Actually there have been tons of studys on weed and there is nothing in it that is addictive. That doesn't mean you can't get addicted to it it's just that that addiction is going to be the same as a 14 year old boys addiction to jerking off.

Weed creates a positive mindset (at least it does for me), salvia, although I've never tried it, just fucks you up and makes you see shit and freak out.
