well i don't know if you've heard or not, but global warming. basically, all the top climatologists are saying that winter is a thing of the past in utah. so most of the resorts (including snowbird and brighton) are liquidating all of their ski resort equipment to become exclusively summer resorts. they're dismantling all the chairlifts and selling them because right now is the peak of the chairlift market, being right before the season - this is the last chance for resorts to buy and install new ones. so all of chairlifts in utah are being sold to resorts back east, since vermont and maine are expected to start getting a lot more snow.
but, on the other hand, if you've always wanted to ride the alpine slide at park city, february should be prime.
sucks that you missed the chance to ski powder in utah though. it was good while it lasted.
