Salomon Warranty

I cracked the heel plate on my Salomon 912TI's the other day. It's bad enough that the heel piece pulls off the plate if I land hard enough switch, then pops back into place if I play with it. The bindings are just barely over a year old and I was wondering if anyone had some experience with Salomon warrantys on these. I know a lot of people broke them so I hope someone can let me know.

I just read Salomon has a 5 year warranty on their ski bindings so that won't matter. Will they replace a binding from this kind of damage?

yeah my shop told me that lots of people had problems with them so i got rossi scratch's instead heavier but at least they don't break

Salomon are amazing with their warranty so it'll be no problems, this is definitely warrenty-ible. I've done the same twice myself and both times shops have just hooked me up with a new plate from the spare parts bin for free. The plate is pretty much the same in any 800/900 series binding from the last 10 years so if they've got an old heel lyig around they can swap it in. Go when they're not busy and they might hook you up, or swing the guy $5 personally or a few beers and he'll definitely do it.

5 years is the warranty.

And if you can, upgrade to Salomon's new freestyle bindings STH 12 or 16.

It has a steel track housing (STH) and is lighter then even the Rossi's...

Hands down sth is the best on the market.
