honestly, they should hold up just fine. There are a lot of people on this website in particular that like to hate on salomon's durability, but really the suspect only had serious durability issues during the first 2 generations. the durability issues have been thoroughly resolved, and the only reason you should get unnessecary edge cracking is if you don't detune your edges before you ski. When you don't detune an edge before hitting rails, the edge digs in harder, causing more friction, more stress on the edge, and ultimately an edge crack. This will happen with every ski you buy, you simply have to detune rail skis. All topsheets on sidewall constructed skis will chip quite a bit, but really, I think you will be just fine, especially if you are relatively new to the park. Don't listen to the hate; half of the people don't know what they're talking about.
