I Can't quite decide which one I'm gonna get. I think i'd prefer the Alpha's due to the amout of pop they thorw at ya..

i've seen worse. like the gems that were coming out in the summer like "I need new skis..help" and "Yo, pick out a good park ski for me" - that's the actual thread, not the title, the whole thing...at least this one tells us he wants to decide between two skis.
But, he's right, height, weight, skiing ability, location, amount of skiing, type of skiing (park, all mountain, BC?), %jumps vs %rails...info that will get you better results.

ha,

Also along with weight height skiing type etc, there will also be a very different feel since the Alpha 1's are slightly rockered and you are comparing that to a cambered ski.

Yes but a lot of times people may just want to know about the skis. when i make threads like this i intentionally leave out that information so i get personal preferences from people.

true, but they aren't even asking a personal preference question, it's just basically name a ski, if there's no info, then you could get any ski, people are gonna have their own personal preference, I'm no different, mine are Armada and Amplid cause they're the best skis I've personally ridden, but they aren't always right for everyone...that's all I'm saying, if you give the info, you'll get what's right for you, not me.

i might be needing new skis this yr due to my edge thinning and cracking on my Dumonts.... also deciding between these... so far im thinking the Alpha 1s because of the rocker for big mtn, lower price (not by much: 600 vs 650 USD), higher durability, and lower swing weight. i usually ride 75% park, 20% big mtn, and 5% urban, so im thinking the Alpha 1's will be the best out of these 2 skis...

lol if its pop your looking for then its definately suspects. ive ridden both and liked them both. but suspects have a reputation for breaking. plus alpha ones spin much much faster

Alpha 2s. Alpha 1's are dope, but the race base will need tuning/waxing/etc. So if your going to be taking care of it alot, then go for the 1's, but the 2's are dope, almost the same but more durable base on them. And they're the smallest margin heavier.

Get someones advice on where to mount alpha 1s if you get those. I know people whove said that mounting dead center with rockered skis is like mounting +2 on skis like these.

idk if you'd wanna get the suspects. there really good fun skis, have tons of pop, soft enough to butter, good on rails, and stay stable heading into big jumps. However my edges on mine started cracking last season and then not even half way through this season the edge under my boot was gone. Definitely have durability problems, and im not a huge kid, so if you ski hard and ski a lot i would look into something else.

Ya and within a month they broke. You know they are shit you are just going to rep them because you made the mistake of buying them.
