Salomon Suspect or Line Chronic?

Don't know which one to buy, price isn't really that big of a difference, but which one will preform better? I will be skiing all mountain, but im gonna be slidin rails and boxes a ton as well as hittin jumps. im 5 ft 10 and weigh about 155-160. Some reviews on both skis would be awesome.

Chronics are an actual all mountain ski which still has very good park performance. The suspect is a park ski that salomon will say anything to sell. Sure it will be skiable all over the mountain but will not perform as well as the chronic. Line skis have much better durability than what salomon create. I would choose the chronic 100 times out of 100.

Suspects arnt as bad as people say. Alought most durability problems are true they are a great park ski while they are on one peice. Still tho chronically for sure man

Just snapped my chronics tail on an airbag. Thought these things were bomb proof but obviously not.

get full tilts

Depends. I have the older suspects and i love them, theyre poppy as hell and super stable on jumps, as for the new suspects your better off just getting chronics if you want a ski that will last more than a year. But hell if you got parents thatll buy you a pair every 3 months knock yourself out.

Yes the early rise is a difference but also the width and the sidecut. The extra width will make the chronic handle new snow/powder better and the 5 dimensional sidecut allows for more versatility in the turn shapes you can make whether it be in the park, in the trees, bigger lines or just on groomers as opposed to the suspects which have a tradional sidecut.

They have what line call 5 cut which is a combination of 5 turn radii sections in the sidecut. I didnt mean they had early taper but was talking about the 5 cut which is technically a dimensional sidecut but not in the traditional early taper and 3 radii sidecut way.

i had and wasnt a fan. they were really stiff and the durability was not good in my opinion. i would deffinitely get chronics

Why you dont take a look to the rossignol storm's? I ride on that skis one time and they are excellent skis! And the 2012 model have the most sickest graphis ever (american fat guy)

5-dimensional sidecut means that the ski has five width measurements. That basically means early taper.

I have both, buy the chronics, suspects are about as durable as a watermelon. On both these skis i pretty much only ski park and the chronics are so much better theres no comparison for me, hope this helps
