Today was my first day on these skis, not impressed on how they are holding up. I am 6'1 200 pounds.

The pictures below will attempt(hard to show with the close up of camera) to depict the damage to the skis from 1 ride 9:30am-4:00pm at Mt. St Louis, Coldwater, Ontario. There is one chip a few dents, Top coat cracks that you can feel as well as right where the skis have the bend in the front under the top coat cracks I see stress lines going against them at a further depth.

PICS WILL BE UP ONCE UPLOADED TO PHOTOBUCKET - TAKING LONGER THAN EXPECTED!

Here is the one with the stress marks going opposite directions of the cracks in the topcoat.

what did you do? take your edges and scrape the shit out of the other ski? my suspects are spotless after 1 day of riding. you should have gotten 181 by the way...

i was gonna say exactly what he said. i wouldn't say i ride super hard but i don't worry about messing up the bases or scratching/chipping them in the park, i just take care of them afterwards and mine are holding up real well. and im 6' 1" 175 and 181s are niice.

Other people's skis/boards probally scratched the hell out of them because I only went with another guy so there would always be 2 other kids crammed in the lift with us. I dont care about the cosmetic damage, only about the cracks and the stress line going horizontal on the tips of the skis.

Are the cracks cosmetic in the topcoat or are they in the ski itself?

If you can see the stress lines are those fine?

Where I drew in the red lines is where the stress marks are but they did not show up on the pictures, There is 15 lines total, crooked lines going almost across the whole ski.

yeah that does look kinda sketch. keep riding them hard and if the topsheet cracks off, they should be under warranty.
how are they though are they very poppy?

Lose some weigh? Lol jkjk, in about 2-3 weeks your skis won't be bothering you anymore because you'll forget what they looked like new. Everyone is kind of freaking out because their brand new skis are chipping. We are freeriders right? Our skis are meant to scratch and bust.

yeah that's definitely not normal. You can see squiggly cracks all over...that's not normal. I've really only ridden Armada park skis for like 6 years now and I've never had that happen, but that did happen to my first twin tips, the mini yellow 1080s...mad stress crack death.

spider cracking = you got a warranty!

i suggest ridin em for a while and warrantying them when your not gonna be skiing cause it'll probly take a whillle.

my friend has already sent his back bc the rail broke away from the sidewall/base on his 3rd run...he bitched out salomon so they sent him a pair of dumonts
