Salomon summer edit contest

sorry if this is a dumb question, but the "video contest page" link where you said to post the videos is just this thread. so to enter do we just use vimeo and embed right here on this forum?
 
I know at least half the videos are kids promos and even trampoline edits...I don't get how kids don't read the rules prior to posting. Grant it some are super sick they just don't count
 
I'm not going to enter...maybe...but I doubt I'll win, anyway the question I have is...

not to start a debate over the never ending issue, but are poles really necessary to ride a 10 foot rail in your backyard. in edits they just seem so in the way and makes everything look not smooth at all.
 
idk sometimes it does, ive mixed both. poles help you get a bit extra speed, but then again so does extra water. but i dont think it matters at all
 
all right so i posted my edit on the video page. Its pretty good compared to most and i thought i had a decent chance at winning. UNTIL Willem posted his edit which absolutely blew my edit away. So my question is can I delete mine and reenter with some more shots or is that a no? I just want that suit so bad ha.
 
im going to start practicing as much as possible until september 13th, then i will make an edit!!!

haha!
 
even though my chances of winning are pretty much non existent anymore, i'm pretty excited to see whos going to win

you are telling me, i havnt gotten more then 4 hours of sleep a night since mine went up. i'm too ancy. do you know if they are accepting submissions through tomorrow or if it ends at midnight like cinderella's ball?
 
I finished my edit on August 18th... Because that is when I had to leave NH. I have been waiting for three days short of a month. Its been rough.

Hey guys, my edit is up, please let me know what you guys think! i worked sooo hard on this, and as you can probably see, I want the suit reallyyyyy bad. REALLY BAD. I kept it within all of the regulations (including under 2 min rule) and i tried to be as creative as possible! So, here it it:

i dont think we will know for a few more days at least. today is just the deadline then they will probably start sorting them and judging them...
 
This contest is so legit! I had such a blast putting mine together. It was a lot of hard work and took time and effort to come up with something creative. Yo, props to kelso. man, yours and Mike Ulrich's were my top 2. All these kids threw down like crazy and idk if there's only one prize, but some honorable mentions should be thrown out cause these kids all were ill.

I mispelt my entry which im pretty bummed about. Should be 'The TUBSSE Edit'

wow i vote for joey by FAAAR it was so original and funny haha the begining made me lol with the temporary g suit and the skiing was sick give that kid a g suit cause hes a gangsta

If there is one thing I have to say is that I really really hope that the judges don't judge against people because of video quality and editing. Many of us simply cannot afford legit cameras and editing programs. It would be a shame if people won just because they have friends that are willing to film them and edit them. Some of us had to film ourselves...
 
i agree so much with this post, thanks will.

it was muchh harder to film yourself as myself and willem did. every shot you are not only worrying about getting a good hit, but whether the camera angle was nice, or if you even got the shot
