i want to enter, my buddy has a set up, and camera, but y skiing ability isnt good enough

I was wondering the same thing because I really want to film something with my new DVX and edit it like crazy!

We love you too, but Newschoolers is a skiing website...

Sorry dude, but look at it the other way around. Burton ain't doing any ski contests

Say your mom lives LITERALLY across the street from your dad's house and you go over there and make an alias account... Is that cheating?

burton also doesn't make skiis...

and solomon isnt doing any boarding vid contests, and they make tons of snowboard stuff.

whatev though... i wouldnt win anyway.

what kind of attitude is this? or the guys above you? so what if he can slay shit, there are plenty of other people who can throw down just as hard. if anything, people should be using gus' comment as motivation to push yourself to be better instead of seeing it as a deterrent. why even try? because its fucking fun! give it your best and have fun while you are doing it.

oaky....

first it was a joke,

second, i dont have a summer set up,

third, i already have my suit picked out next year (and i get it for cost which is badass)

so, yeah

to win do you need good skiing AND editing? Because i consider myself to be pretty good on rails but i have absolutely no editing skills.

Is the judging based on skiing, filming, editing, the summer setup, or all 4, and if all four are they all of equal importance

Skiing comes first, but obviously the others factors play a role also. You can only do so much on a 5 foot flat rail if that's all you have, and the edit would get pretty boring if it's all just filmed from a stationary tripod with no music/editing...

So yeah, skiing is the most important but take the others into consideration

You are more than welcome to team up, but you are still only going to get one suit.

so more then one person can be in the edit? say two people were in the edit and they win... one person could get the pants and one could get the jacket. or they could sell the suit and split the money. si?

im down with editing for someone, if they get some good shots...

preferably with a dolly.

also if anyone is willing to make the trek to southern maine, terminatorx and i have a sick summer set up and we are verys good at editing together.

im sure we could work out a deal... if not it would be a good time anyway.

see terminatorX's video's for the set up.
