Salomon STH 16 AFD And Toe Wing Issues

Midway through last season my bindings blew out so I replaced them with salomon sth’s. I really like them. Release was smooth, they felt burly which made me confortable. The only issue was for the first couple rides the toe wing screw would slightly back off. Or at least I think thats what was happening. The problem fixed itself but im wondering if that has happened to anybody else. If it continued, im sure some blue locktite would probs fix but the real question of this thread is about crusty afd’s. Like I said, I only rode these half a szn and the afd is already fucked. I baby my gear so idk how that happened but I just noticed this now and im wondering how serious of an issue is this

Crusty AFD shouldn't cause you any issues. Probs just grains of sand n shit embedded under the slidy plate thingy

Im not worried about under the slide plate, im worried about the actual afd itself. I just realized that since you can adjust the toe height on these bindings it might be fine but there is a small chip on one of them and thats what my main concern is

I think you're good, AFD wear is pretty normal. Post a better picture though, kinda hard to see much in the one you posted. As you mentioned, you manually adjust toe height on those too. If you were noticing looseness from the wings , that could be related to toe height as well.
