Ok i have boots for this season and probably next season. they are the Salomon SPK kreations 2009. they fit pretty fine i haven't broke them in yet or even skied in them. actualy one is at the shop right now with my skis getting my bindings remounted. i have the line invaders but by the time i need new boot ill probaly need new skis. i plan on getting the Armada alpha 1 or 2. i tell you this because i wonder if the boots you wear corrispond what so ever with your skis? anyways back to subject i like the fulltilt booters and hot doggers. i like the 3 Salomon Spk boots i wonder which one is best? i always thought they were all the same... oh well i would like pros and cons best boot for me.

Information: i ski 40% park 50% pipe and 10% groomers/pow. my foot is 2 3/4 inches in the center foot and 3 3/4 inches at widest right below my toes.

you are trying to compare the skinniest boot(fulltilt) to the widest(SPK)

jesus go to a fucking bootfitter it doesnt' matter which boot is statistically the best if you are always in pain. just get the one that fist best. it make be salomon, fulltilt or most likely someother company. people on NS have a huge hard on for fulltilts but dont get boots just to be cool, get ones that fit you that work well.

^ i was just asking if my foot was considered wide or thin and i included my skiing information to narrow down which model would be best. i was simply seeing if my foot was wider or thinner and hopefully some one nice would conclude it down to a model of which would be best for my skiing type

k so i consider myself to have a pretty wide foot (widest area as you specified) im around

3 1/4- 3 1/2 inches at the widest point. I ride on dalbello il moro but i also tried the spks, the spks fitted even kinda roomy for me. I know the ft and spks are way different volumes. Id say that the spks are gonna be too wide, so go down to your store and talk to them to see how the full tilt will fit your foot. I understand how people want something that looks cool and is popular and i agree that the full tilts look pretty sick. There may be some other boots on the market that can fit better than the full tilts but if you wanna sitck with full tilts just try on some different kinds. It IS REALLY CRUCIAL TO GET BOOT FITTED. I didnt with my last pair of boots and it was hell. I later had to shell out way more money than i wanted to punching out and packing the liners, so dont make the same mistake i did.

BOOTFITTER

BOOTFITTER

BOOTFITTER.

Step 1: Go down to your local shop.

Step 2: Ask a bootfitter these questions.

Step 3: Buy your new boots there to support your local shop in this economy.

Was that so hard?

The SPKs seem to be a pretty good boot but full tilts are kinda of a bad choice they are known to brake a ton (every week or two) but i recomend dabello boots if willing to spend 600+

I have semi wide feet. Ive ridden SPK's for 3 years and never thought I'd ever switch boots. But I recently got a great deal on some new Bumble Bee Pros. After having them heat molded to my feet, i dont think i will ever go back to the spk's. The full tilts felt extremely narrow before head molding them. I wouldnt consider them the narrowest boot on the market. Definitely not as wide as an SPK though.

Full Tilts break every week or two?

Where is this source from?

I've been rocking my FTs for a season, and they're holding up perfectly fine.

The only thing I've heard about FTs is their plastic buckles cracking and breaking, which you can easily replace, or better yet! Buy metal buckles.

To OP, read up on some reviews that are in the review section of this website. Searchbar helps too

There are also different lasts for different Full Tilts.

Along with there being a really high chance that you'll find an amazing fitting boot that isn't the SPK or Full Tilt. There are so many other companies out there that make amazing boots.

And there is a place, it's called the review section.

Jam packed full of reviews that absolutely no one knows about.

Just type in the product, then click the options tab in the search bar, and select reviews. Then BOOM! Reviews.

FT Hot Dogger has a 99mm width, FT Booter is 102mm and the SPK is 104mm

all entirely different fits. Someone who wears the hot dogger isnt compatable for the SPK (without boot work) you need to find out which one fits by going to a bootfitter or simply trying all 3 on to see which has the best fit. Also please don't go in thinking it has to be one of those 3 boots, if you like Fulltilts check out the Atomic Volt is has a really great fit for a narrower foot.
