Salomon SPK project

Hey so i'm in my last week of college and i have to sell something to my prof and a few classmates for our professional selling class. I set up the situation so that they are a ski shop (not a chain) and i want them to sell my company's boot (the spk). Anyways, i;m a bit pressed for time so i figured i would come to NS for help. Basically i was wondering if you guys had any tips about selling points, recent ads (so i can show them that they are advertised to us) and things like that.......
Thank you

I always try to sell the shop along with the product. Make the buyer know you'll stand behind what you're selling and that you'll be there if they're not happy with it

good point. but i am not selling for the shop. I am acting as a wholesaler for Salomon, trying to get the shop to buy my boot, so they can retail it.....so i 'm trying to get them to buy, say 50 boots in various sizes, ect...

get an awesome venn diagram to show the rate of shin bang to no shin bang to how awesome your shins feel in the middle

get some testimonials!

get some cat and whisker plots

throw in a bar graph! and your set

pros rocking the product. If it sells to all the kids on NS, im sure it will do the same to a shop

Not even close, Pros rocking some boots aren't going to sell them in a shop, kids off NS make a very thin margin for what is already the small market of selling ski gear. If I was to argue that my shop carry the SPK boot I would point out that park skiing is continuing to rise and shape the future of skiing in general and that by diversifying their selection of boots can help their sales, make the shop believe that they need the SPK boots in their shop.

1. Call your local ski shop

2. Ask for the local Salomon rep's phone number

3. Phone him

4. Get all the information you could ever want

"This boot is one of the few which cater for the wide feet among us. At 106mm it stands over 5mm wider than many of its rivals, which places the boot in a fortunate position to be able to satisfy unique demand"

"Endorsed by many professional skiers as their boot of choice. Much like other equipment, this helps with increasing sales as the buyers can identify with these athletes (particularly in the freestyle market which is heavily driven by role model behaviour)"

Blah blah blah

i used to work at a shop and the salomon ski reps know what they are doing they could make me want to buy small girls ski boots with the points they bring up just call and ask for the salomon reps number and then explain and see what he says

Haha yeah, sorry for jacking your thread.

And if you need any help getting into contact with the salomon rep, shoot me a PM, I should be able to help you out.

yeah that doesnt work, like previously stated freeskiers mae up a VERY small margin of the skiers. We sold the spk last year at our shop, and sent it back to salomon early becuase it just didnt sell. Now this year, we dont even sell it, and sell the technica agent boot series instead

Unless they have changed the last over the past 2 years, i'm pretty sure 106 is the width.

I'm not sure if the width changes across the pro/kreation/kaos etc though, i was under the impression that it didn't and the main differences were flex and liner
