Salomon Quest 8 boot anyone?

does anyone have this boot or have any experience with it? i tried them on today and they were really comfortable and fit well. boot fitter recommended them. looking at 60% park, 40% all mountain/charging

take a look on the TGR forum about the quest boots. from what I've seen these boots are complete and utter shit. check out the shoguns though, I got them and skied 9 days straight the day after buying them, no problems yet

The TGR deal was concerning the dynafit insert system, not the boot itself. If you're using these with regular alpine bindings there is no issue, though how Salomon treated the issue was less than good.

Happened 7 days into skiing them. And I was just doing them up...Don't know what to say about that...

The boot is amazing besides these buckles, I can say anything for the quest 8. I'd still recommend this boot for lot's of people out there though that ski all/big mountain.

Go Shogun if you are lighter or Ghost if you need a stronger boot. Fucking amazing. Been on the Ghost with stock liners for 3 seasons now and they still fit like a glove.
Thick tongue is good to prevent any bang and cranking them down for pow and big mountain works well for me. I weight about 190 and like the 120 flex. Buckling them a lil less for park keeps the flex soft and smooth.
Ghost and Shogun are just a tad narrower than the Quest as well.

Full Tilts are sick, but not everyone has the foot for them! We have zero association with Technica.

Just for the record, I keep hearing about how shitty the Quest line is, not just from TGR about failed inserts either.

A friend just paid me $80 for a pair of my cracked Lange Banshee Pros cause his Quests 12s were in way worse shape after 3 weeks in them... walk mechanism, buckles, stiffness.

But, they did fit like a glove when he tried them on. My brother however is still rocking his, for now.
