Does anybody have any info on the Pro Pipe? Ridden it, know size underfoot? What does it ride like outside of the pipe. Rails, Jumps, Groomers.

im pretty sure they're the same ski as the old dumont or the 2009 teneighty.. i've ridden the old dumonts a couple times and they were really fun, light and springy.

the 2012's look like a different type of top sheet construction then the suspects and others in the past so they look a bit more durable in that regard

Salomon claims that it's better, but I'd want to wait a year and see how the 011 skis held up before buying some for the season after. If they claimed that edge armor would make them amazing, how do we know that the "new technology" will be something beneficial as far as durability is concerned for next years skis?

gona bring this thread to life to see if anyone else has any info about this ski for a one ski quiver? also pricing?

i demoed them for a little, they feel pretty heavy, really stiff, not the most playful but did feel very solid, charged groomers very well, good pop. sick topsheet...

nice. I have pretty much narrowed my search between the ar7 and the new suspects, but I wanted to think about the pro pipe because i like the race base for all mountain.

The pro pipe is so stiff. Like freaking almost race ski stiff so it is not forgiving at all. I mean its made for pipe and thats it. It also has a race base so your going to need to take care of it a lot.

And it carves great because thats to be expected because its a pipe ski.

I remember seeing a terrible review of the 2012 on here somewhere...

These are probably going to be just like any pipe ski.

haha cool. I have heard only good things about the ar7s. and I ride suspects right now and have had no edge issues. So those are still appealing to me.
