SALOMON lords vs. dumonts

an all around pow and park ski for an advanced big mountain rider looking to transfer to park but still wants to ride the mountain. any opinions on the 2 skis

Lords can rip the groomers and have a bigger waist. More of a big mountain ski that perform in the park. I'd say if you're just getting into park, and will probaly end up spending more time all mountain then go with the lords.

im 5' 8'' and weigh about 145 lbs. dont mean to brag but i can take anything on big mountain except cliff hucks and im working on backflips and can stomp 3s and easy rail combos so far. i want to take the next step in park.
PS- im working on building features for my backyard to jib on so...

Lords would certainly be a more logical choice than the dumonts. Dumont are a more specific park and pipe ski whilst the lords are designed for the whole mountain (tho you will lose park performance).

If you look outside salomon there's a whole world of options. rossi s5 (new brigade), k2 king fujas etc.

go with the lord mounted slightly up from recommended.

Good all mountain ski, and if you are a strong skier, it wont matter that its not park specific.

If you wan to spend the cash on a wicked one ski quiver, check the rossi s7 out. Rocker, variable side cut, it seems intense, but a couple guys at our hill had em last season and they slayed everything in site, bc, lines, drops, jumps of all varieties, rails, boxes and whatever.

just a thought.

i'd say foils are right in between dumonts and lords... park skis that float well in pow, they'd be a good choice. you can get them cheap too

sorry to hijack your thread but this is just a side question about dumonts....

they are an "advanced" jib ski so would they be good for improving your park skiing? this season i wil be learning 7's 9's and such. Would these suit me well? thanks!!

AS for your question, if you aren't set on salomon for your skis why not take a look at something like the Line Blend? Last years or this years sound good for you.

would u say lords are good for the eastcoast? like vermont good amount of park but also a lot of groomers occasional pow, some trees
