Salomon Jib academy at snowtrails?!?!?!?!

^ looks like it. And that's sick.

"2nd and 3rd place including sweet new Salmon gear, ipods and more"

I want some Salmon gear. Nice spelling.

PFC North is going to be at Cascade Mountain in WI. Regular PFC will be at Perfect North again. PFC North is March 24-25. PFC home should be the weekend before that. Like the 17th or whatever.

sucks, because VTopen is the same dates as PFC north.

Yeah. My big debate is between the PFC's or VTOpen. VT open is sooooooooooo fun, but so is PFC. oh well. we'll see.

Yeah. PFC north is at Cascade, which has a Highspeed quad for their park, and it's steaper, and since it's further north i'd assume they'll have more snow at that time.

i just read mail from Brian Crespo (SALOMON REP): The date is either March 3rd or March 10th. so they dont even kno the TRUE DATE yet.

does anyone know how much its going to cost? and also if they are only accepting 100 people to be in it when are the sign ups and what not???

if it's 4 days, just lie, or tell them that you just turned 17, i'm sure you'll be allowed to enter. now if i tried to tell them that i just turned 17 4 years ago and i want in, that would be a different story.

ok well i got the scoop on the JIB ACADEMY from the Salomon Brian Crespo. its not for really good little kids, its for kids who want to progress in the sport that ar'nt very good, the pro's are coming so the kids can look @ there heros. he said if u can do a 360 or a 720 there probably ganna through u out. its not got good kids its for kids who wanna get better and there not that talented. its like a camp for beginners!

Which sounds to me like exactly what it should be. Kids who already rip don't need to be pampered and schooled, all the kids who just started and need direction need to be inspired by the big dogs and given the drive to advance. Sounds cool to me anyway.

Tad

uhhh...damnit. i was kinda exicted to goto this and make the trip down to ohio and finnaly check out snowtrails.

they made it sound more like a competition saying "one athlete from each event automatically goes to the Final in Mammoth."

Yeah.... I pictured it as a new revised version of the Young Gun Open. How are they going to pick the people to go and compete if they're not good. That would just make a really amateur comp.

dude no worries come on down anyway... word around snowtrails is there makin it on the main so who knows but its all up to the weather and management. if not ill try to c whats up and let you know. ill let you know when we get a park open ill hit u up and give u a pass

so im 16 and just learned rails a week ago and can do 180-540 and 720s when im lucky but there sketchy.. also i dont really grab that great with any spins... so am i "elligable"

probably not... read this...

SALOMON JIB ACADEMY

Today, kids are going bigger, younger thus Salomon has created the Jib

Academy to provide the best skiers around the world the opportunity of

a lifetime: to ski, shoot and film with the Salomon Pro Riders. The Jib

Academy is a learning experience, a chance for every kid to see what

they can accomplish today and tomorrow. It is not a competition, not a

talent search, not a camp; it is the Jib Academy.Various countries will

host qualifying events where kids ages 10-16 will meet up with us in

the park to show off and improve their skills on jumps and rails. Once

onsite, they will be put into groups and coached throughout the day by

their countries’ park heroes. Finalists with the most potential will be

chosen by the kids and their coaches who will battle it out in 2 runs

for a spot to the national finals. Photographers, cameramen and

journalists will be at each event to shoot, film and interview the kids

while they throw tricks to the sounds of a DJ spinning what’s hot. The

kids will get a chance to view their best segments and photos at the

awards ceremony at the end of the day.

WIN A TRIP TO MAMMOTH!

The winner or winners from the national finals will win a trip to

Mammoth to enroll with the best riders worldwide! They will all meet up

at the end of the season in Mammoth, USA to spend a week riding the

best park in the US with Mike Douglas and the Salomon International Pro

Team. The week will be filmed by well-known movie producers with the

best images being selected for the Jib Academy segment in our Salomon

Adrenalin Hunters film as well as other film segments!

you can go... but im just goin on what the rep says, so i mean... its dope that everyone wants to go just come and see how it is

In that thing it says they're looking for the best young talent...... why would they get shitty kids to fly to mammoth to compete? It's a new version of the YGO pretty much.

i cant think of many kids that would be in this from around here? because most of the people on these regional threads are older then 16 arent they?

thats wut im saying like i know there r kids that are in the age group but alot probley wont go... all these big places are gonna have the 100 person limit and then we r gonna have like 13 kids haha it will be fun either way tho
