Salomon guns?

they're really fun for playing around in the pow. they're not a bomber ski at all in my mind b/c they're really soft. like all solly twins they noodle in a few years and they're fun in nice fluff and like hitting small cliffs but they suck in crud. they turn well in the trees and carve fine on the slopes and are decent in the park depending on mounting. i'd say if you want a similar ski in terms of use but much better go for the prophet 100, i was really debating between the 2 last season and i demoed both and the prophets are way better, the guns were just kinda crappy. but if you get them, no matter how short you are get the 188's if you can ski them, the extra underfoot helps in crud and the feel more bomber although they certainly aren't a bomber ski by any means

my friend loves his guns for a bit of pow! if you don't weigh alot then they can be a sick, good value pow ski. i gave his 181s ago (i'm 5"8, 140) and they seemed solid to me.. there are more bomber skis for sure but i would bet the guns are cheap at the moment!

My bro tried some out the other year in Whistler. He said they were a badass ski and they could cut through crud and were a great charging ski..

dude ross there not just pow skis

there more like an all mtn ski

i see em all over the hill

there alot like the anthems

Where do you live? How tall are you and how much do you weigh? I'm a pretty small guy (5'2", 110lbs) and got them out of desperation since they were the only pow skis i could find my size (i got the 164's) and they turned out to be amazing. I've got a pair of karmas and only ride them now if it's icy/hardpack out or am skiing strictly park. The Guns are an amazing all-round ski. I skied them in everything from hardpack with racers to a foot of crud in sierra cement to two and a half feet of jackson hole powder. They performed great in all of the above. Sometimes you gotta throw your weight a little back to keep the tips up if you have them mounted at -1 like I do in the really deep pow but that just makes 'em more fun for skiing switch in the pow. They're very responsive and surprisingly soft, which is good for me since I usually like to take my time in the pow instead of charging. My only two complaints about them is that they do get a little noodley if you're really charging hard and do get progressively softer over time because of the silly foam core. But hey, if Mike Douglas can charge on 'em, why can't you?

If you find a good deal on them since they're so expensive, which is easy, I'd definitely suggest them.

Nice easy going fat ski for lightweight skiers. I demoed them in Whistler and found they worked pretty well in just about everything I could throw at them. I'm 5'6", 115 pounds, and ended up buying a pair in 174cm take home to Ontario. They are no worse than the average park ski on ice, carve around just fine on groomed snow, and were great in crud and powder compared to my Scratch Sprayer FSs.
