Salomon ghost boots (09)

I was wondering if anyone has ridden these yet. I understand its based on a falcon shell (98mm)

but it states on proctorjones that it has a fatty toe box like the regular spk???

Really interested in these boots for next year, would probably take one of the rivets out to give it more flex as its pretty stiff.

Its funny cos I can put my foot in almost any boot ie; Lange WC, Doberman 150, Dalbello etc but cant get my foot into a regular SPK . I wonder whether this will be any different...........

It does not have a fatty toe-box like the SPK. AS stated above it is the 'Falcon' series last, meaning it is just slightly narrower than the old Course series. If you foot doesn't fit the SPK, you will probably not have success here. If you thought the SPK was a bit too forgiving, you will love the Ghost Boot. Best boot I have ever skied on. It also has additional pieces you can add on, shims and rear spoilers to stiffen it up. But even at 'stock' flex, 120 I believe, it is pretty amazing everywhere. With the giant padded tounge, it feels softer on you shins than you think a 120 would be. I have never gotten shin bang on them.

Bullshit.

I was talking to our buyer last week and we're stocking the ghost next year. The price tag is completely ridiculous though, just get Falcon 10s for cheaper if you like the fit. He swears Michaud and the rest of the Salomon guys have been skiing it for the last few years but I'm still dubious about the whole two buckle thing. My shins feel really weird in SPKs.

whats bullshit, the fact I cant get my foot in an spk or the Boot?????

Its because the tongue cant go far enough forward because of the laces is one of the reasons I cant get an spk on and also because of the toe buckle. Next years falcon comes with a custom shell too,I dont see how this is different to stretching/blowing the boot???

What the hell are you talking about.

I rode in the ghost. It was a nice boot, however i felt the hotdoggers fit much better.
