Salomon Ghost Boot

for me, it was an awesome fit out of the box, but its on the stiffer side and i prefer something a little softer forward flexing. that said, its responsive, with a nice liner and some nice shock absorption, its a super dope boot. if it fits ur foot i would def recommend picking up a pair (altho they are a bit pricy)

How much are they where you guys want to buy them. I paid 550 for mine, which doesn't seem that bad to me.

the ghost is an actual big mountain boot with a stiffer flex and better liner.

it is ment to be a more performance oriented boot everywhere compared to a park boot such as the spk....however i think they should have either put on another strap or gone with a standard 4 buckle shell, cause i have heard of complaints of the 2 buckle system not holding the heal in properly.

that being said i also dont like the rubber underfoot...it seems like something that will be peelin off in 2 years.

I'm not a huge fan of the SPK, but I'm a HUUUGE fan of the Ghost boot. They dont fit me for SHIT, but I bet that if you fit the 1080/impact/foil boots, you'd be in perfect shape with these. They are stiff enough to handle quite a bit of everything, and they have a good quality liner too.

The ghosts are def. sick.

They are only 110 flex and i find they feel a tad softer.

Im sure they would be excellent for park and allmountain skiing provided they fit your feet.

Good replies, I'm used to ride stiffer boots, I prefer performance and response. I rode the Head S8 for 2 years now and I found they were not wide enough for my feet. I tried the SPK at a boutique and I felt more room for my feet. So I wanted something stiffer,

Thanx for the replies, I'm used to ride stiffer boots because I prefer performance and response. I rode the Head S8 for 2 years now and I found they were not wide enough for my feet even if I popped them out twice. I tried the SPK at a boutique and I felt more room for my feet. I have a very large foot. So I wanted something stiffer, so I ordered the Ghost.

And for the retail price, I don't really care cuz I have them for only 366$

The ghost is not just a stiffer spk. It has a completely different shell based on the Salomon Falcon series of boots. The ghost has a significantly narrower fit than the spk. Just because the spk fits you does NOT mean that the ghost will fit. The only real similarity is that they both have the two buckle design. Other than that they are very different boots...

I felt it couldnt hold my heel in as well as the full tilt. The rubber grip on the sole is cool though, probably is really only added weight in reality.

I have ghost and they are amazing.

It's 98 width last just like a falcon.

It has a full race liner - better then guns and xwave...

The heel hold is what sells this boot. Somebody said the heel hold was not good... No way.

This boot is really nice. And I hear that next year Salomon will have a women's version as well as a Custom Shell version which will be good for those who can't fit in the current 98mm last.

If you are looking for a big moutain freeride boot look no further.

If you are looking for a freestyle boot, go with the spk promodel or the spk kaos.

$549 cdn

u do realize it will fit everyone different right...i put on the lange banshee yesterday and couldnt even get my heel in the heel pocket...however this is still a very high quality boot...

hense why you should always get a boot fit!!!

It's not the race liner. It's the middle one. The race one on the Gun and Falcon 10 is a lot nicer, denser foam, etc.

TJ was wearing some for slope at Tignes recently....

That said...it's a matter of preference vs skill/ability vs the shape of your foot= a lot of variables!!
