Salomon gaurdian thoughts/ sturdiness

Recently picked up a pair of salomon gaurdian bindings but have been reading some shitty stuff on them. For the most part they seem like a solid AT binding but there have been reports of people easily breaking theirs. I was wondering if that has happened to anyone here and what people think of them and the durability and how often it happens. I already have them mounted on my skis but if it's too risky to use I would want to know.

just buy a sled duh. actually, from my one homie that has em says they're pretty good and skis hard on em .

you should get some of those orange ski straps and ive heard of dudes using em to hold the binding down to ski out of the backcountry when they break em

Ive heard they are good but you have to be careful using them. A lot of people said they snapped the frame but this is most likely due to snow being between the ski and frame and then trying to lock it in. Im in the same boat as you and im leaning towards getting them. Just make sure you inspect them before each use and make sure the ski has no snow on it before locking back in.

Best for the downhill. They are pretty bomber....but they are still an AT binding and they will always have a higher chance of breaking than an alpine binder. Take the second to make sure there is no buildup underneath.
