uhhh, i think they are more all mountain, take anywhere skis. i dunno though.

lets see. foils are twintips made by salomon so that basically means they suck ass.

there alot wider than the 1080... the thruster is the new 1080,,, its light and more park specific. the foil is a perfect all mountain/park skis.... really nice and wide but still light and easy to manuver

 
no not necesarily jon, have you ridden them, i think they were tons of fun...give it a try before you bash on them
 
compared to the original 1080 no they are not, considering that salomon calls all most their twins teneighty's now you are correct, and they are softer than most skis, but the tip is as wide as the tip on the gun, but i mid 80ish underfoot, w/ a wider tail, tons of side cut
 
Foil is a all new ski, totally different from last years 1080. The thruster is the same ski as last years 1080, the gun is the same ski as last years pocket rocket. The flyer is the same ski as last years 720.

sorry if i upset anyone but im just not too fond of salomon ive been sour ever since my binding kept popping out every 4 seconds and kranking up the din did not seem too work very well thats just my opinion
 
hahah how did this thread get revived. also i had a bad problem with salomom bindings to last year and i ended up getting 70 stitches in my left hip/ ass cuase of the brakes partly
