Salomon Foils??? Core shit or no....

yo i was gunna get the foils cus i can get em super cheap they seem like sick skis from what i hear ive ridden the pockets from last year liked those but is this foil core still absolute shit compared to other skis or do they have some wood in them. the other ski i was thinkin bout was the vicious but im not sure i want somethin soo wide for the midwest ne help on these ideas??
 
thats what im thinkin but the way i beat the shit out of my skis i think the foils will be better off because of no side wall like vicious to take chunks out of idk just a thought
 
ander is an idiot, foam doesnt suck it is all relative to the skier, foam will probably suck for u if u are a heavy person the foam will lose its pop and camber more quickly than would, but it makes for a much lighter ski, the foil also has relatively thin edges so if u are beating the crap out of them it would be better to get the viscous, plus k2 skis are very durable, i dont know about all but the p.e. feels pretty heavy strapped on ur feet but the vicious feels heavy in my hands but not mad heavy, definately way heavier than foil,

if u plan on buying a new ski every year the foil would probably be cool but if u want to ski them season after season ur best bet would probably be the viscious
 
If you weight more then 150 and you ski the foil like a man you will de camber and de pop thoese bitches faster then butter melts in the microwave, get a pair of volkl karmas if you want a fatter park ski, and since when does weight really matter that much?
 
well if i can get them super cheap alot cheaper than vicious and only use them for a season they cant decamber that much right? isnt decambering mainly a problem when you use the skis for more than a season?? By the way i have chronics now how does the weight of those compare to the foil and vicious and i weigh 175

the good old foam vs. wood debate...

foam and wood both have theyre positive and negative attributes so when it comes down to it it is all what you like to ride so dont bash skis that you dont like
 
i have chronics now and i just got foils they are bot very light and poppy. the foils are softer and fatter. i like them
 
I like my foils alot but im going to need new skis next year cause my foam core is all craked up which makes the ski not a sstable and not perform as well so u want sick ski for one season (foil) or sick ski for maybe over one season (seth)
 
foils suck because they have foam cores, fat skis suck really really bad on rails but i find them perfect for big jumps
 
the foils are maaaaad dope. there's probably a handful of people on this planet that can actually tell the difference between a foam core and a wood core if you weren't told which was which. these kids are just idiots that have heard foam sucks, so they just go along with it. fuckin faggots.

Yes foam has it's pros and cons, but so does wood, get over yourselves people
 
the thing about the foil is that its already pretty stiff, so it'll probably maintain its camber longer than a thruster

The foils suck and don't turn for shit if you are riding anything but powder. A little ice and id rather use old straight skis than foils.
 
After 40 to 50 days they'll lose pop and response, so if you're planning on skiing them more than that go for something with wood.
 
foils will crack up (the core that is) but everyone makes a big deal of it its not super noticble besides ur ski is floppyer (think vicious) the vicious are also rad for the park but fall apart quickley go foil
