Salomon czar vs k2 hellbent ?

I am trying to decide if i should go with the salomon czar or the hellbent? I live in summit county and am trying to find a rockered ski to use for 50 % bc and 50 % lifted served powder days. Has anyone had the chance to try both of these bad boys out . I have done alot of research on both and it seems the czar would be a little more versatile because it has less rocker and camber in the rest of the ski. The only thing that scares me is that I want to be able to slarve the ski and fear the czar might not have enough rocker for that surfy loose fell I am going for. If you have tried booth and can give me some advice that would be great. If i hear doubts about the salomon I will go for the hellbent. Thanks for the help.

czars really dont have a loose surfy feel at all, the slight rocker just prevents nose dive better. go hellbents

I left one thing out of my thread so here it is. I know a lot of people have not tried booth of the skis mentioned so with that in mind, has anyone tried the czar and more of a full rockered or full tip rockered ski like the volkl kuro , jj,or the megawatt, salomon rocker etc.... I know the latter choices will have more float and a looser fell than the czar but does the czar have enough rocker to make the ski loose and surfy enough to make it easy and fun. Sorry for the long thread but there are to many good skis this year!!!!

i know its not a direct comparison but i've skied seths and the hellbent which is sort of the same type of skis. the seths have a small rocker and are an amazing ski, i've had them for 3 season and didn't think i'd find a better ski. heaps manuverable, forgiving and they charge though everything. then i tried the bents and they blew my mind. they were in the 189 and the felt like boats. i loved em, super stable and a lot of fun which suprised me cuz i'm only 5'8. i thought i'd have to work harder.

the czar and the bents will both be amazing ski's. you'll love both, but i reckon the czar will be more of an all round ski. it's all personal opinion but you really can't go wrong.

would you be boot packing or skinning when bc? thats the same type of riding i use my seths for and i was wondering if you can skin with bents... i'm only new at it but it seems the there would be less grip cuz these less ski in contact with the snow...

i've been thinking getting bents and thats one of the things that might stop me.

I can't give you a totally accurate opinion cuz I've only ridden the Czar, but I can tell you if you're looking for that "loose and surfy" feeling the Czar won't give it to you. I like the loose and surfy feeling as well (I'm getting EP Pros) and the czar just didn't give it to me, I didn't really enjoy them....Not that they aren't a good ski, I just didn't like how they felt.
