Salomon contest shenanigans?!

Ok so this is in concern of the salomon backyard jib contest. The second and third place winners were supposed to get a salomon setup (skis and bindings).

I am one of the finalists and I contacted the other and his situation is the same as mine.

WE WANT OUR SKIS!

Salomon hasn't contacted us whatsoever and they don't answer to any e-mails. So I'm puutiing this here in hope that it might attract some attention.

IF ANYBODY, might know a way of contacting them or actually how to get the prize, it would be fucking amazing.

I mean, come on, it's been 17 days now.
 
Salomon are usually pretty good at checking the forums on here tbf so they should spot it.

Coincidentally, the 17 days you've been waiting is exactly how long your new skis will last...
 
Right now is a really busy time, with Dew Tour and the holidays and everything coming up Im sure nce everything settles down youll be shreddin the sickest sticks!
 
apparently they need to get there shit together i mean come on this contest wasent huge but no something you should just be forgeting about
 
Honestly, a "busy tim" shouldn't be an excuse for not contacting the winners.

Plus, if they cannot send the prize right now, they should at least, by a manner of respect, contact the winners personnaly to tell them what's up. Writing on the freeskier web site that a 2nd and 3rd place win skis is NOTenough!!

And 18 days ago wasn't a busy time at all.

Anyone can help?

they won't completely blow it off, i hope. If that don't contact you buy the first week of january, then you have a right to be pissed.

true, the decent thing would have been to at least send an email letting you know that you made it to 2nd and that they will have your prizes on the way asap, but most contests have some along the lines of "winners will be contacted in 30 days" in the fine print. If 30 days go by, then go ahead a cry all you want. until then just be patient.
 
although its important to you, no, getting you your skis you won is not on the top of their priorities list. im waiting to get a warranty confirmed by a shop to get my new skis, and the owner told me they have been near impossible to get in touch with. calm down, you will get your free skis. its been 18 days...
 
there's a difference between this situation with a small company and with a huge company like salomon. theres no excuses, they're giving this kid bad business and customer service and he has the right to be pissed
 
he really doesnt, it has not been that long, they are not giving bad business because he won a contest, salomon is gaining nothing so there for this is not their top priority. right now getting through this comp scene is most important. im sure the OP will get his skis, just needs to wait. and im willing to bet there is a time frame set up in the fine print, and salomon is not shunning this guy, i know for a fact that they are near impossible to get in contact with right now which is pretty fucken annoying

Jenny from Salomon here. Just got all logistics taken care of for the Nova Scotia winner, plane tickets, gear, etc. My friends at Freeskier are working on getting me the contact name, email and phone #s of the other finalists so I can send them their gear. I pride us on following through on commitments. Of course you guys are getting skis. If you could give me a shout today or tomorrow before the holidays, that would be great- 801-624-7570. We have gear in all sizes reserved for you guys at our service center.
