Salomon Bindings

has anyone had any trouble with the brakes breaking and then not having your boot stay in. My brakes got all bent, and then the little plastic things at the bottom also broke and now my boots wont stay in even at level ten settings. Are the breaks repearable, or should I just try and get new bindings with the warranty?

I heard of sali breaks breaking off all the time. I heard theyre pretty easy and cheap to fix, but the warrenty is good for 4 years anyhow. Havent had a prob with mine yet but its real common.

yeah salomon sucks, stay with look or rossi

hey 1080 mute......go to a ski repair shop....they usually carry extra parts for bindings....as well as all the other necessities...but anyways... i used to work at footloose in mammoth....in repair and people used to come in all the time and ask if just the brakes can be replaced...and yes... they can.....and if they don't have any.....that is if they are a salomon authorized dealer.....they can order them for you....and you could replace them yourself....i think its like 1 or 2 screws...to remove the brakes...check it out....lates

yea that happens to me too...im getting new ones though...cause mine suck nuts anyway...S850. The new salomon binders should be quality though...cause theyve been working on them in recent years.

my 1080 bindings broke last year and they wouldnt brake when my boot popped out. i did alot of ski chasing down the mountain

That's exactly my problem (and everyone else's). I don't mind replacing them once or twice, but more than that gets REALLY annoying, especially going to a shop and paying shipping charges.

I had 1080 S900ti bindings for 2 years, 1.5 of which I skied with a broken brake. The one of the stupid metal loops to which the brake piece hooks broke after 1 month. This loop was part of the track that the heel piece slides on so it couldn't be replaced and I had no warranty.

Switched to Rossi axial Carbon pros and have had no problems other than a brake popping loose the first time I lost a ski, which flew down the mountain and hit a guy.

I like the salomon toepiece, it has the best hold of any binding, Marker, Salomon, and Look/rossignol but the look/rossi pivoting heel piece kicks absolute ass! I run my din 2.5 notches lower on the Rossi bindings than Salomon and don't release as often. much safer.

cheers!

I got the breaks replaced for 30 $, hopefully that works. I odnt care if the skis go down the mtn, i just dont want the ski to fall off, ever.

Yeah! Better buy new one.. Solomon is easy to break. Maybe they are reparable, but I think you will still cost same price as the brand new.
