Salomon bindings=shit

i've seen a few break, but the fks/p18 are beefy bindings.

only beefier one is the s916/s920.

to the kid having issues with the s912....

the wings come out of allingment easily. check them ever few times out and you should have fewer problems with releasing.

or just get looks.

i had broken both bindings at the same time. I got look but i still need to crank my dins to 8 and im only 145

I dont get why people are so geeked out at adjusting salomon bindings... it isnt rocket science

My toewings periodically become jammed up with snow or loosen which pisses me off but its a quick easy tighten procedure at the base or mid station and your back in business.

And to those of you who said you have your dins at 9, I hope you are like 170 atleast... I have mine at 9 or 9.5 and Im 185 5-10 and they release when I fall, Ive never pre released and Ive landed backseat pretty good and backseat/twisting and whatnot, get em adjusted right or download the shop manual and learn to tolerance them yourself, you will be happy knowing how every part of your binding works

yeah ive never had 1 prerealease so far this season with my s912 ti, even landing ackwardly backseat or rough swith landings they are adjusted properly and i love em cuz they are light, but they are gay because the plastic cracks and the binding isnt durable.

lol i prefer a binding that doesnt need to be checked and re adjusted every couple times i ski and that is why i like look and yes i have ridden on salomon ones

I think the whole idea of a binding being light is crap. Have you felt the difference between the 912 and the 912ti? It's really not much at all. But Salomon is selling this idea at the expense of quality.

too true and even if they wer heavier its not like we are ridng downhill skis that wiegh 50lbs

If you start to have problems with your Salomon bindings go back to your shop and get them checked out and stop bitching.

Salomon has 5 yrs warranty, that's the best warranty on the market. Hense why salomon bindings are the best.

Salomon is on the up and up. Stop bitching about them.

yet another pair broke last night. That's good they have a good waranty but if they are making a crapy product, all your buying is that waranty.

Solly makes good bindings the problem with the 912 is pre-release, the pre-release is caused by the set screw in the toe piece lossening up over time. This in turn with the spheric plate makes the binding think you are ripping you leg off when really you are rotating. The screw is in the side of the wings on the toe pieces keep it tight and you will be fine. Loc Tite it up if neccessary

if by pre-release you mean the titanium plate breaks in half on the heal piece you might be right about that, but I think it's more than a tighten it up problem. But yeah you're right those wings do losen up aswell. I'm just talking about how many I've seen break this year.

yeah cant be a 5 year warranty, only thing that sucks is not even getting away for 3 months with out another warranty... and then having to unmount ur bindings send them in wait get them back mount then etc takes time out of skiing.

Spend some more cash-ish and get at least the 912s and you should never have a problem with releasing. Sometimes the heel pieces can get a little mangled or break from sick abuse, but whatever...
