salomon binding question...

no but I plan on mounting that exact binding on my park skis to replace the shitty rossignol ones that are on there now and continously break

You ignorant pieces of shit. If he had said 'I want to know how good Salomon bindings are.' your answers may have been relevant. All most of you did was tell him the bindings were shit or that they worked okay. He wanted to know if you could mount them without the Power Axe plate underneath. Well Bryan, my dad's got an old pair of Salomon X-Screams from about three years back with the 810's on em...and nope...no Power Axe plate. As far as I know you're safe without it...but I wouldn't take advice from myself...would you? LATE

I'll tell you where...someplace warm...a place where the beer flows like wine...where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of capastrano...I'm talkin' about a little place called Asssspennnnn...

I'm pretty sure you'll have to replace the poweraxe plate with the standard plastic riser or the Axe+ one. You'll have to take them to a shop anyway to have them mounted, so ask the tech.

There is no problem going without the plate on those bindings, just make sure your screws aren't too long.

all u guys sayn the solomon binding suck, this is for you...

Ive had the 8'10s for 2 years, and they are great. I have only had pre-releses when i first got them cause they were mounted wrong, then i got them remounted and the other place was gay, so i fit them to my boot myself. when i was done it was perfect, never a pre-relese and i have my dins at 7. conclusion: the bindings dont suck, you suck cause you over look mis-fitted bindings as a shitty binding.

I'm a salomon tech. You can buy them without the plate. You can also mount them without the plate but be sure to use the screws specifically designed for the non-axe model or you will be pissed and very slow on the slopes but have great ice hiking skis

yeah whoever says they are crappy bidnings, they arent, you just have to make sure the farward pressure and to wing and height is set right for your boots, thats probably the problem all these other geniouses are having, and its really not that hard to fix if they would take some time and play around with the bidings a little instead of crying that they dont work. Unless you start snapping titanium heal trays and bending the pivot rod in the toe piece, dont complain about them not workin

collapsed lungs suck

If you're going to re-mount them yourself, just put a little wood glue in each hole and crank down the screws (and use the right size screws as other said, of course). I did this with my old Skogens and I've had zero problems.

If you boot is moving around in your toepiece and you attribute this to salomon bindings sucking... Try tighting the screw in the front right wing of the toepiece its on the side of the bindings and do it with your boot inside the binding it will tighten right up and if it is a salomon 'Ti' model use the toe height adjustment card put it underneath the boot (at the toe) as you slide the card in and out tighten and loosin the screw on top of the binding untill is medium snug.
