Can anyone explain why Sarah Burke is no longer listed on the salomon freestyle team. I just checked their website and she's not on it anymore.

Was she signed under salomon clothing as well then? I dont understand why would she would have to drop ns.com if she wasnt. Salomon clothes suck anyways. You know every ski company is lined up to sign her. Lets face it. Every male skiier wants her, and every female skiier wants to be her.

I think a major conflict with Salomon and NS.com clothing is that Salomon wants to sponsor package deals. Also, salomon feels that losing sarah is not that big a deal. freestyle skiing is male dominated. so tell me now, do u buy skiis because of sarah burke or because of CR. tanner, raps, ollson, candide, 3 phils? its not a big loss to salomon. I've heard a rumour that sarah will sign with Armada so that armada has a female, which would add to the stellar list of skiers they already pay.

^NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL?!?! If what you are saying (that freestyle skiing is centered on the male market) wouldnt you think that Sarah Burke would be that much more valuable? Honestly, everyone of my friends think that she is one of the hottest athletes out there and we all look for her in ads, mags, and videos. Salomon lost huge on this and I think that it is awesome that she stuck to roots newschool skiing and took ns. I just gave away my old 1080s.

its not that big of a deal, phil p used to ski for salomon but got kicked out to make room for candide, now phil rides for rossignol, and mike d now rides for addidas because of their speical relationship with salomon.

What are you talking about. K2 is almost as big as Salomon and nowhere near as small as 4frnt. Salomon is just making way for people who they think can represent their product the best. Just Because they don't like the same riders you do doesn't mean their not a good company. After all they did make the first twin tip. At least they were willing to take that risk when no one else was.

mike D was not forced to sign with addidas, but the money was too good for him not to sign with them. also when renewing contracts its way easier to sign with one company than multiple companies,

and did it ever occur to some of you that addidas goggles might fit his face better than smith's?

BTW, the k2 poacher was the first ever twin tipped ski, but no one thought of using it for that reason at the time, so it makes the 1080 the first twintipped park ski, which was unleashed when JF cusason won the big air at Tremblant in 1997 I think

I wonder what sarah will ride. Word on the street was that she was in SLC with Salomon Boots and Bindings all painted over Biotch! I think she had line skis, but that doesn't mean shit because Phil P had line skis when Salomon dropped him too. I think it just has to do with the fact that Jay kicks ass and is nice enough to bro them down some product.
