I got some new Karmas yesterday, and with them, i got these salomon bindings. The guy who sold them to me said they are a really good binding etc etc. I saw the looks and rossi's as well but anyways. I talked to a really good friend of mine and he said there is no way i should be on those bindings. I'm 180/185 pounds and he said i need at least a salomon 912, or a p12, or rossi 120. Are the bindings i have fine? Or do i really need a different binding.

well find out what your din is going to be set at...if its going to be maxed out on the 810s then you should probably get a different binding. But i bet your din isnt going to be higher than 7 so tell your friend he is an idiot.

Oh, i just read that binding sticky. it said if you are a lightweight skier, the 810 is a good choice. I'm not exactly lightweight, but of course that could be off i dont know..

The 810 and 910 are the exact same binding....the only difference is the 910 has a higher din. But the higher din isnt reall necessary if your din is only going to be at a 7 anyway...in which case the 810s would be fine. So go find out what your din will be.

ive heard good things about salomon bindings, and i currently ride the 810 as well, i have no complaints, ud be fine.

its not just how much you weigh dude....go find out what your din is. That woudl involve age, skier type, weight, and bootsole length.

My Din is 9/10. I know this binding has that range, but isnt it not good for the binding to be running it on full din constantly?

on older bindings yes, i called look yesterday and tehy told me thats just a myth though. With modern bindings you are fine running it on the higher din settings.

i had those bindings.

they pre-released me like no ones buisness.... if your gonna keep them, make sure to adjust the wings. and set the din higher in the front even tho thats so wrong, thats what i did to keep it from pre-realeasing me.
