Its there new rockered park ski designed by Dane and Sammy. Looks really nice and I might need to get it or the Halos. Good to see Salomon making some innovative park skis but I really hope it doesnt have durability issues. From what I understand the ski is called the 2012 but it is in next years line. A bit confusing but the ski looks great non the less.

Salomon seems to be steping it up a little bit. Skis are $100 cheper, edge armor on suspects only, new designs. I just hope durablitiy really steps up with ll these new designs

huh stepping it up? Suspects and threats are unchanged I don't call that stepping it up. Those are the 2 shittyest skis on the market IMO and they keep on selling them without modifying them.

I didn;t really mean stepping it up so much in that way but as in they've gotten ridden of the edge armour on the new skis, and there a sick design imo so im so cuirous how the new skis are going to hold up

First off. The 2010 Suspects have a construction update. I saw the ski and it's different under the boot.

It's 100 bucks cheaper too.

And the 2010 is sooo sick. Beauty twin rocker that's super skiable on groomers. Perfect for buttering tricks. And 91mm under foot.

Salomon is a leader in the freeski industry. Quit the hating man and go skiing.

sick skis my friend who is sponsored by Salomon has had a pair since the begining of this season let me try them out we built a kicker they are pretty light and a really fun ski and i love the early rise on these

they look like cap construction to me. if salomon goes back to cap construction skis theyll sell sooo fast. 07/08 dumonts are the sickest skis made imo.

actually they are sandwich. the chick picked them up and spun them around in the video on the SIA post

They look really sick. I flexed them at SIA - very smooth, even flex. Hopefully durability won't be an issue.

im not even going to look at salomons skis until they fix the durability. IMO if a ski cant last more than a month it doesnt matter how good/innovative it is...

Ya the leader... Maybe before they came out with the suspects but since then definitely not. Also seeing as armada has already made a rockered park ski I don't think that they would be consider the leaders.

07/08 Dumonts were like strapping two floorboards to your feet. Cap construction will be on their price points, so I guess it depends on how much these are. But considering the royal fuck up of last year's Suspect construction, it wouldn't surprise me.

Yup, full woodcore with the sandwich sidewall construction.

They will come in 163/171/179 cm lengths although I rode the 179 (i'm 5'6" tall) and I wouldn't ride it any shorter :P Someone also mentioned that it only had 69cm of contact underfoot where it is cambered so that is something else to consider although it skied surprisingly well for a ski of this construction type.

W salomon... 179 being the longest length for a rocketed ski? Kind of disappointed. I would be skiing these next year for sure but not on a 179 length...

I saw em at my mountain and the dude said they are really fun and buttery but too short, idk what length he had, but he also said the chatter a shit load. I hate chatter

They chatter a bit a slow speeds but once you get em going, they are surprisingly stable.

So you don't agree that they are leaders in the freeskiing industry?

Which other company invest as much $ and energy in the marketing of the sport and of athletes and of movies and of magazines? Tell me?

2012's will be huge and I'm convinced there won't be duability issues.

FWIW It skied very well. Especially for a center mounted ski. If you are a hard charging, weight on the tips of your ski guy, its nothin to write home about. If you are more skiing with that upright stance as a lot of young kids do nowadays, it Skis very well. 90ish underfoot is great for powder (YES, it is possible to ski powder in a 90 waisted ski, get better technique before you say its hard) tip rocker is great for blowing through crud and spring days. Very smooth flex pattern without being a noodle. I wish there was a little LESS rocker overall on the ski (Next years years Volkl Bridge has the perfect amount for an all mountain 90ish rockered ski ), but overall it skied well.
And I think it looks awesome.

yeah, i would go longer with it too because of the loss of the effective edge. makes it feel like it rides shorter

theyr actually not that bad. They go hella smooth on groomers thanks to the rocker. They also are ridable in the powder which makes them completely awesome

ANY ONE WHO WANTS TO SEE THE SKIS CHECK MY PICS IN MY PROFILE, THESE SKIS ARE THE BEST PARK SKIS THAT I HAVE EVER RIDDEN AND ARE SO FUCKING SICK.

In my profile i have pics of the skis, bases, and ammount of rocker, ammount of camber and everything, trust me these are the sickest skis EVER, I won them at a jib acadamy stop im not sponsord or anything lol. and they are by far the best skis i have ever ridden, they have so much pop its incredible.

oh, and i am 5"7 120 lbs and ski the 179 its perfect for me!

They have been holding up well so far, i will let you guys know for sure if that changes.

And about the flex pattern these skis are on the flexyer side, they are by no means a noodle at all, but nice and flexy. And i dont know why, but the combo of rocker and camber make them SO POPPY i cant even describle it.

And about chatter, i can go down a groomer fast and get hardly any chatter, rolling into a big jump they are very stable no much chatter at all. but at slow speeds they do chatter a little but it doesnt bother me.

About the powder, i wouldnt say that they ski particularly well in POW, i mean they are better than my armada pipe cleaners in it LOL but for sure not a great pow ski, but i guess they are good in pow compared to other park skis.

Sorry about the double post. Just clearing up the questions i read above.

they are but you example isn't true, those skis were 90 under foot but no rocker. i had a pair.

i feel as if you blow loads on this ski, because every thread i see on this ski you are praising it like none other. Must be pretty sick eh?
