SALOMON 1080's 04 05, comments, durable?

I got salomon 1080s about 2 months ago from my local shop and paid 390 (canadian) orgianally 799. I have heard taht they are a good ski, but i want to know, will they hold up all season. i am 6 feet 170 pounds, and i bought the 181. Will they be good?

they are a good ski, if you like to ski in the park mostly. and they arent that durable, so they may not last you all winter. depends on how hard you ski.

good ski, despite what all the little kids say here about foam cores they aren't that bad, the edges crack like they do on all skiis eventually, mine lasted 2 years, my PR's are still going strong and have 60+ days on them

i am pretty hard on my equipment, and i have had teneighties for the past 4 seasons, they are the sex. super classy ride.

the skis are good i didnt break one pair all seaon and the pair i used for urban lasted surprisingly long time the skis are good

Foam core vs Wood core in jib skis mean absolutely nothing....

It's not like you r ski racing or anything...

And durability is also not an issue in the foam vs wood argument...

Durability with twins is all about edges and stuff... so cores have nothing to do with it.

Also the reason salomon uses composite cores is cause they have figured out a way to get more pop out then wood...
