Salomon 1080 flyer 06/07 or volki dogen 06/07

I'm a begginer and i'm looking for suitable skis for me.

I can have 1080 flyer or dogen for same price. Which of these would u recommend?

Dogen is 168cm or 178cm and flyer is 161cm or 171cm

and what lenght should i buy?

A guy told me that if i'm a begginer it's better to buy skis, which lenght is between ur chin and nose. I dunno if that's true, but he said that when I'm begginer I won't cope with skis that are 'bout my hight. So do ya think Dogen 168 would be ok, or should I buy or for example 161 1080 flyer?

I would go with the 168 dogens...i used them this previous winter and skiied them super hard. I snapped one and had no trouble getting it warrantied. you shouldnt have any problems with them.

dogens are a fun ski..but they will most likely break! but volkl is very good with warrenty!

they both suck but since ur a beginner id say the dogen edges out the flyer...and get 168

I know that this question is kinda stupid, but why freestyle skis must be about your height? cause when u think logically it's easier to spin etc. on a bit shorter skis.
