Salomon 1080 boots

I am thinking about getting a pair and want to know what people think of them...I ski almost all park for the main part of the season.
 
get the spk if you have the dough, the 1080 boots are pretty sweet, fairly soft, but if you dont have a wide foot you may have problems with a roomy fit
 
Do all salomons fit the same way? I cheaped out last year and bought performas would the 1080s fit the same as those?
 
k thanks...how do these fit, the one guy a few posts up said they are kinda wider, is this true, and what about the length?
 
as far as freeride boots out of the salomon line go, here's some info:

1080 Foil boot: same as the x-wave 6 but with a rubberized bootboard and the custom fit liner, high volume fit

Falcon Gun boot: same shell as the falcon 10, stiff, next generation spaceframe, narrow fitting

 
when it comes to boots, dont worry about how they look dude, just get a boot that fits like a glove and performs the way you want it to.
 
yeah I am not buying boots for looks lol trust me I have broken my foot and toes and shit its not pretty but I was just wondering how people liked them etc I will definately try them on before I buy them
 
no, its the same as the x-wave 7, b/c the flex index on the 1080 is 85, while the flex index on the xwave 6 is 75. but other than that they are the same.
 
i got them, i have only used them in a few railjams so far but they seem really nice, i have a kinda narrow foot so i had to buy the $30 foot bed too, no big deal and its so worth it, feels amazing
