Salomon 08 is up

No I have no conection to salomon whatsoever, I own no sally products, i just pay attention and remember Mike D. Saying that he and most of the team did not want to ride a supper fat ski, that it seemed to take the fun out of skiing powder to the, I have also met other people that share this opinion. And congradufuckinglations, you just listed a bunch of people that are not on the Sally team. So I have no idea how what they think would influence the thoughts of the salomon team, who unlike you can think on their own. Also Seth skis on a ski under 100mm in the waist.

So according to you a swallow tail ski is not progressive? Is this because you only think progresion can move in the way that pollard is moving. Jesus your a fool. Progression is not one diomensional. Don't hate just because some people like a different style of skiing.

And Salomon stood by Cr all the way through his accident and only dropped him after he started skiing, probably because they did not think he was holding up his end of the bargin. Also how do you know he did not leave.

Yah seriously. This sport should be smart and progress in many different directions, like snowboarding for example. Skiing wouldn't be as fun if it only progressed in one direction.

Nice try kiddo, really you should be a politician based on the talent you have for uttering words without speaking truth.

First of all, here's a pic of Seth on some AK's, you can see the rocker in the pic, everyone knows they are basically Hellbents w an AK topsheet. Either way, they are well over 100mm at the waist. He rode them just as much if not more often in filming last year.

Secondly, who is Mike D referring to when he says "the team" doesn't want a fat ski? Simon Dumont? Olenick? Sammy Carlson perhaps? Those guys are primarily comp park riders, nuff said. Mark Abma, well I bet he wouldn't mind a fat soft pow ski, check his seg in Yearbook when he slays everything with Maidens when he was still with K2.

Yeah so I listed the best all around skiers in the biz right now, who have all either developed or ride a fat pow ski. Do you think Armada, Line and K2 had a joint meeting in which they came up with big reverse camber pow skis together? That is the direction the sport is progressing, independently within the most forward thinking companies. Pretty soon we'll have rockered park skis, mark my words.

Are you trying to say I can't think for myself for noticing that, and that the Solomon team is the shining beacon of independant thought? Why do you think JP Auclair was so eager to branch out from them in the first place? So he could innovate without running it through the board of directors.

Finally, Mr Asshat, wtf are you defending them for dropping CR? Did you paparazzi him this season to see what he was riding before he "couldn't live up to his end of the bargain?" Everyone who saw him says he was on 4 frnt's. That's beside the point, which is who cares if he wasn't 110% killing it at the beginning of his comeback, he almost died and he repped them hard for yrs. They should have given him more time if that's the case...Oh and as far as him choosing to leave, based on your extensive knowledge of "the team" shouldn't you know the answer to that question? He wouldn't just leave unless they gave him a good reason to. Either way, they lost my respect.

Go ahead and PM me if you want to continue defecating online and I'll tell you all the resons it smells like shit.

Oh and I just realized that I skied the old Gun LAB's(the baby blue ones), not the Guns, I'm sure the Guns are very soft, but still, they're not very wide.

You're a fuckwad. You're logic belongs on www.epicski.com

People that knock fat skis are idiots that haven't ever been off piste.

Seth was riding uber stiff hellbents with ak graphics.

Quite frankly, salomon hasn't done ANYTHING new and exciting or to take the common path here and continue to gang rape this word: progressive.

Fugly topsheets, skinny, short, soft skis. They had a decent idea with the Rockers, but ruined that by trying to add a detachable swallow tail. Yeah real practical. And I doubt those will be released state side anytime soon. Meanwhile, boutique ski companies (and even many mainstream companies) are actually listening to skiers and what they want.

And to top that off, the lack of integrity that their company showed when dealing with CR made me sick. I'm stoked that hes on 4frnt instead, because at least that company still knows where its soul is. POW!

I never said that that was my opinion(With the exception of the seth and the XLLs all the skis I want to get are over 110 in the waist). I am just saying that that is an opinion that some people have. I have a friend who is just as happy skiing powder on his tm's as his JP's. And just because people don't agree with you does not mean they can not be progressive or that their opinions are bad. People need to open their minds more. Right now most people are thinking that progression is only headed in the way the the idea crew is pushing it. That is thinking like the racers did in the late 90's that twintips were just stupid. Open your fucking mind.
