Saloman or Line?

I am just getting back into skiing and needed a new pair for the season. I have leveled it down to the Salomon 1080 or 720's, and the Line Cronics. I was just looking for an opinion on these, which are better, pros and cons, etc. Thanks for the help... Q

 
Line's a good choice. I don't know why you'd restrict yourself to two brands, though.

^ yeah man. Look at the 4Frnt but Chronics are KICK ASS! but i must say it would be nice to have a ski in the 180s....... but yes go with the chronics n hook urself up with a pair of Reactors then you will be my idol. yeah thanx.

lines but the candides and cj's r the exact same as the 1080s bud just a different paint job^^^^

the crs r sick, and the candides, if u can find good deals, they have a different flex pattern than the 1080. the cr has a narrower tail for less sidecut to not lockup in the pipe

 
Salomon this that blah blah blah. The fact is that the Chronic is probably cheaper, has a much thicker base, a much bigger edge, and is a significantly stiffer ski. It's also a true twintip, unlike the 1080, and its core is light years ahead of the 1080's.

Get the Chronic.

if you're just getting back into skiing, i'd go with the 1080's. they wont kick your ass as bad as the chronics cuz they ski better. dont listen to all this salomon hate/foam core shit because it isnt really true. either way you cant go wrong. oh ya try some 4frnts.

 
yea, foam core isn't as bad as the kids on here crack it up to be. in fact, lots of the best race/carving skis are foam core. but i wouldn't get 1080s. In fact i wouldn't get Salomons at all. Get the Chronics

Demo days are here, ride the skis you are considering and move the slider binding around. Determine what you like, walk to the store and purchase them.

Oh and the candide/cr is cut diff with a slightly narrower waist and a little more pop in the tail oh yeah and those race bases are considerably faster than the regular bases (on the 1080's)

 
get lines but hurry up becasue there all sold out of chronics so what your shop has is all thats left.

dude why does everyone line foam?? It dosnt have any elastisity.

Plus the last time I checked there is no foam that is stronger then wood!

Foam= cheap!
