i'm sure he's a lot cooler when he's not getting payed to act like a twat. he's not a skier so it's not surprising if gets stuff wrong about it.
 
I'm pretty sure they have the original racing and freestyle along with this mix stuff for sledding...Sal Maakela is an idiot.
 
I really don't like this speed vs style thing, seems like they just made up a spectacle to draw in people who don't actually like winter sports.

And yes, Sal Masekela is still a tool.

 
That girl annoncer thing whatever they are isn't very good either...They need to have glen plake as a host, or whatever they are...
 
i agree it gets a bit repetitive after a while, but honestly i think its really good for freeskiing. instead of getting annoyed by seeing it every commercial break, we gotta step back and think..at least we dont see snowboarding. Its getting so popular so quickly i just dont think we realize it. and when i say popular i mean by the people that dont know what twin tips are

that is actualy a really good point, and i do now see what your saying and agree, but as someone who watches and follows skiing i just wish they would throw some other names in so it doesnt seem like it is a duel

You guys are the biggest bunch of fucking haters....chill out. the guy makes a living doing something a lot of people dream to do. And you guys really need to face the facts. None of you would last 10 minutes as the host for the whole fucking x games, cut him some slack...
 
but what about Jossi, or Colby? they just sit there and watch them on the screens the whole time. I know about them already. Theres lots of competitors and each got invited.
 
it is what it is and it's bringing newschool to the mainstream. i think you can deal with it if you don't like some of the announcers lines. the announcer isn't the show, the athletes are. and tonight they put on one hell of a show.
 
I love Sal Masakaela cuz he adds some diversity to the white sport of skiing. And he's always so stoked to see people going big.
 
Glen Plake hosts a show in RSN and he is a giant tool on that show. Plus I have seen him shoot water out of his ass so I cant really take him seriously. Also Sal is an ass hole in person too and after he says his shit he sits in a tent and does not watch the events.

They need Mike Rowe to host that shit he would be hilarious and pwn. Case closed.
 
Yes hes still a tool, but he doesnt choose what he says, its the writers. I know this because im sitting in electronic media writing class as we speak!
