Saint Mary's glacier Recently

doubt it but dont the glacier is alreayd melting i mean i love skiing but its not that big and its not liek it has a park so dont mess up a glacier. its not that great and its a rly cool natural thing that should be preserved. or get a back yard setup

dont go there this time of year, go late june or july for the only decent skiing there. there still might be a rail or 2 setup

i went up there last year at this time and it was shitty snow. plus i heard that the forest service has started taking all rail or box setups down. how true this is i dont know.

there was one real sick 30ft rail up there last time i was up, though we didn't get to set it up cause the thundershowers came and didn't stop.

way up fall river road, the exit after idaho springs when heading west, just keep following it up until you see the old t-bar on your left, park in the parking area after that, follow the trail up to the glacier, keep left on it to go the quick way. there's also a good cliff jump up at st. mary's lake, which is right at (or below now) the base of the alice.

if i remember right it causes the snow to melt faster and things liek rails especially attract sun because of their usual darker color and make the snow melt super fast. also if you go to whistler they are super strict on littering because a tiny piece of trash can attract sunlight and make snow melt WAY fast

there is gonna be a park up there this year,,,,, its not gonna be that the glacier but down neer the bottom, It only gonna be a rope tow.

Oh ok, I have only seen the story in 9news, now it makes more sense to me. Thanks for clearing that up!

its called eclipse, its behind st marys, and last time i was there about 1 month ago we set up a flat down box and there was about 3 other rails
