Yeah man sailing. Sailing really kicks ass. I didn't really sail much until I went out on my girlfriend's boat. I mean I was a bit sketchy on it...I thought it would be...you know...alright. But it was soo kick ass. There were huge waves and splashes and at one point I fell off into the water. So now I'm a wanna be sailor. I totally suck, but I'm taking lessons and getting better. When I've a job et family I'm sure as hell going to buy myself a sailboat.

So what I'm getting at, does anyone here sail? I'm nowhere near being good enough to race, but my girlfriend does, she's wicked good. I wish I had known about this earlier.

yeah man, sailing is kick ass. what do you sail? I've raced prams, opti's, and 420's a couple times. using the trapize is very fun. we have a sailing school in my town and I think I'm gonna work there next year. easiest job-you go, sit out on the boat and tell kids what they're doing wrong. once in a while you swim or help the kids rig their boat.

I sail nearly everyday in the summer. I race Lasers, 420s and 29ers. Super fun sport, espically when its cranking. Just keep at it and you can start racing really soon, just enter some small local regattas and your sailing will really takeoff. Even if you don't get into racing, it's still a great time. By the way, anyone going to be at CORK?

Is cork in canada? My girlfriend was thinking about going to that but I don't think she will be. She works at the sailing club in her town, its great work. When she does private lessons she gets 45 bucks an hour!!!I really wished I were good at sailing.

hobie 16's, sunfish, and a handbuilt 32' schooner are all that i've been on, but it's sooooo kick ass......

my friends making a little sail boat out of a fishing boat he has. he has a quarry where he can go and test it out.

 
I can sail my little boat, its called a butterfly. I would sail my dads boat but its too big and if I flipped it I wouldn't be able to get it back over and Ive flipped my butterfly a couple times. Yeah but my dad used to race and its pretty sweet. I want to start racing but I suck and would pry just flip my boat.

IM out like a blind kid in laser tag--- --- I'm out like a midget in a high jump competition
 
my neighbor has a little 12 footer that you can sail by yourself or with others. I've used that a couple times but mostly I use the 420s at the maratime school.

i race lasers, and soon to race 29ers, and teach sailing almost every day all summer. teaching sailing is soooo easy. sailing is def so chill,

yeah, sailing is definitely cool. i jsut got into it a bit with my cousin at my cottage. he brought his boat over and we go out almost every day, but im still not very good.

I sail, I love it. Anyone heard of the boat Rabbit? Last year I got to work on it as a coffee grinder for two weeks it was ill. I am going to try to post a picture of the boat I sail on in the 'summer' category of pictures, everyone should go check it out it's sooo damn pimp.

I grew up sailing.

Sunfish, Lasers, and Thistles.

I missed nationals for Thistles this year, they were in florida, and happening right now.

I went last year, though. ( i think it was last year)

I race a few times a week, well, normally once.

sailing kicks ass, ive sailed hobie 16's, lasers and fusions, hopefully in september ill be goin to thailand to work at a resort and take people out sailing :)

I rented a hobie 16 on lake winnipesaukee last year. no a lot of wind on the lake but it was a nice boat. I could sail it by myself with the jib, but mostly there was no wind so we didnt use the jib.

cap-If you live in boston, come on the south shore, Duxbury..we have a shit load of sail boats. or down all over the cape there's charters and rentals
