Sage may have sold out

no way. Sage kills it too much to sell out, he knows where skiings at. A nissan ad means nothing.

He diffenetly didnt sell out at all. Fistly, to sell out you have to do something that you have said/believe is worng. Like say someone says "Appearing in ads for huge companies and corporations just to get a big payoff is crap" and then if you end up doing that same thing your selling out. So he didnt. Secondly, lets face it, skiers, except for the best of the best dont have huge amounts of cash rolling in and many skiing careers dont last very long so to go ahead and appear in an add, make some money, and possibly get free merchandise out of it is totally cool. Besides, Im sure if anyone here got the chance to make some turns in fresh powder and huck a cliff for money they wouldnt even have to think about it for a micorsecond.

you are the biggest fucking moron in history if you would turn down the money just for doing what you usually do & letting it be in a nationally broadcasted tv commercial.

hell, i'd huck a cliff for free if i knew it was going to be on national TV because it would be a lot of fun. i wouldn't go on MTV unless they paid me serious bank. see the difference? Sage probably would have done the commercial for little or no money just because it would have been fun to do. Mosely goes on MTV because they offer him a fat paycheck to do something he otherwise would avoid at nearly all costs.

sage is not selling out simply b/c he is in a car commercial (the person jumping tho isn't even him but whatever). i would like to know why everyone on this site associates making some money with selling out.

That's actually the second X-terra ad to feture pro skiers. There was one a couple years ago with Micah Black, one of the Collins bros and I thinnk Jamie Pierre doing aroad agp over the car. That's not selling out. It's just capitalizing on an oppurtunity to make some extra cash. Also it shows the mainstream what is going on in skiing which I think is awesome. Sages 3 in the new ad shows the progression of freestyle tricks in big mountain terrain. It's sick and I'm glad this commercial portrays skiing at the height of progression instead of some gaper cruzing groomers like other commercials.

the person jumping WAS him. if you read the entire article in Powder you would have read that the shot that kid filmed wasn't used in the commercial.

fuck that, has probably rollin large in a new xterra. props to him. As if you wouldnt do that. Anyone who lays the claim that he "sold out" is a hypocrite. Step into his shoes and say you wouldnt make the same decision.

it wasnt sage in the ad. there was an article in powder saying how they were gunna use him but they couldnt so they had to use a "stunt double" ... the kid got like 0 credit for it.

WHO THE FUCK cares, he could never pick up skis again in his life and just do commercials and ill still get amped watching his segment in X.

skianddestroy maybe if you read the wjole article in Powder you would realize that the stunt double's shot didn't get used and that the shot in the commercial is indeed Sage. Inform yourself better so next time you don't look like such a jackass.

to quote the last sentence in the Powder story-

"In fact, not a single still photographer was on hand, and no shots from the session made the commercial's final cut."

good job, penis face.

Sage is an awesome skier, and no, he is not the first, a fews ago i saw a nissan commercial and a ski front flips a road gap(with the car underneath.) then a guy 360's the gap, then following him some one backfliped it.I'm pretty sure the backflip was Shane McConkey.

OMG Sage, if you read this. Stop making money. You don't want to be labled a sell-out. Just think of many fans you'll have when you're broke and done skiing.

shit sorry... didnt thin it woudl piss you off so much.. maybe you shuold CHILL .. i was wrong.. big deaL?
