differences between saga (shell) and trew bellows jackets? is one better than the other? difference in quality and craftmenship?

thanks

I cant speak for saga, but trew is bombproof, and their water resistance is amazing.

I think their stuff from this year looks really nice, too.

Trew use a better membrane. If you can affort some trew gear buy it, it will last for years. Im buying a suit next year and planning to keep it like 4 years

thanks guys.

i think im going with

trew is bombproof and super waterproof, but i should warn you that you should never buy it to be baggy, buy it to work.

the sizing is a little weird, like it should be for a hobbit, but for me, it works(arms are still huge).

that said, it is so waterproof. but i would not reccomend it if you were just buying it for the steeze factor

Trew=super tech, well made, warm, waterproof etc, sorta weird fit

Saga=decent quality, shell, perfect fit (for me), super steezy/tall

I personally like saga more just because the fit is better (for me) and I don't Trew's super tech stuff

well trew is warmer and both durbale the same to me so if ur hittin rails all year saga hittin pow turns 50 days a year go trew if ur doin both go with saga cause it cost less but bundle up under the jacket

First few years jackets ran a little short, as in normal fit. Last years and this years run longer, just FYI.

Copped some bibs today to replace the ones that got cut off me last year by ski patrol.

Side note: In One for the Road. Ian Macintosh does the most spot on Rowen Tych impersonation EVER!

Is it wet where you ski? Do you do any backcountry where you are outside in the snow all day? If those are important factors, get Trew, better waterproofing/breathing.

Are looks the more important thing to you? Do you ski resort only in a colder/drier climate? Get Saga.

Personally I think comfort (staying dry and not overheating/freezing) are the #1 thing with outerwear, but I am old and don't ski park.

i do about 97% inbounds/resort skiing and 3% messing with friends around town (we made some trails)

and im on the east coast so its usually dry, but towards the spring, its as wet as it gets.

well i found the bellows jacket for 240 and one saga for 220 and the other for 175, both brand new

you're from NH... I don't know what the snow is like up there, but if i happened to be skiing when it's snowing... it might as well be rain. I'd go with waterproofing if it's anything like in NJ; cold, snow is really wet and heavy.

trewtrewtrew. i got that same jacket in XL for 240 and i love the fit and everything about it. i literally could shower in it and stay dry.

I heard Saga has excellent wormth.

If you can afford Trew/ find it for a decent price, go for it. I think I'm gonna cop me a pair of black bibs sometime.

mind blown.

yo dawg, we taped your pocktets in your pockets so you can have taped pockets while you have taped pockets!.jpg
