Saga or First Drop Outer ware?

first drop for sure

saga colors fade

and the first drop suits look soooo dope on the slopes, get a mixed suit (black jacket with blue pants or vice versa) the accents will match and it will be dope as fuck.

WTF is your problem you stupid ignorant piece of shit. you call saga out on fading colors but because first drop looks sick your gonna recommend them? how do you know first drop isnt the shittiest outerwear ever? im gonna say right now that first drop will suck... seriously its david fucking lesh. lesh slides.... god damn people are so fucking retarded

saga, it is proven to be good shit, this is first drops first year. see what people think about it after a year. go with saga for this year before you go buy a first year product

how is everybody already saying first drop when 90% of us haven't even used them yet and if we have then only for a couple days max

first drop is brand new so ive never heard anyfeed back and i rock the saga...... soooo saga!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH YEAH TRIPLE YEAH!

chill the fuck out buddy

i know lesh, i ski with him

one of my good friends WORE a first drop suit for a day at keystone, was helping lesh with things to change about it etc

lesh has talked about fabric types, shit like that. He has put so much effort over the past half year into designing suits, talking to factory owners etc. He knows what hes doing. he took everything that was wrong with other outerwear and fixed it, the hood is magnetized down so it doesnt fly up in your face when you ski, the cuffs at the bottom are gonna be reinforced so they dont tear when your walking, the straps that hold up the pants mean that skinny people like me dont have to wear tightass uncomfortable belts to wear baggy pants, shit like that.

I've also tried on a prototype suit, but the dimensions and accents have been slightly altered from that model (for ex, the blue suits will have a black accent around the pockets instead of a white one like in the ads on NS) The fabric quality seemed very high, nice and thick. I dont pretend to be an expert on fabric but i could atleast tell that it wasn't a piece of shit

And i've never owned a saga suit, but the two kids i know who do both have faded colors. I don't know whether or not the First drop suits will have faded colors too, but i know for a fact saga does so shy would i not bring that up.

I'm not trying to say that saga sucks, that shit is fresh as hell. This kid is asking for opinions and advice and in my opinion the first drop seems sicker, and from what ive seen has a very good design.

get the sand out of your vagina and chill the fuck out, this is the internet there is no reason to go ape shit in a forum

I considered all options and ordered up a First Drop suit. I really like a bib pant, and other little stuff like magnetic hood etc... and it looks different than the norm, its unique, which is a legit reason to buy.

only very few people actually know if first drop outerwear really is good or not.

so i wouldnt listen to most people that say first drop outerwear is the best... since theyve probably never seen it in person let alone worn it.

saga has proven to have good outerwear, that has 20k waterproofing.

its got no isolation, so u got to wear some hoodies and tees under it at cold days, which looks hood anyways.

so imo, be careful which brand to choose, since alot of people dont know wether FD outerwear is any good.

just my 2 cents

i ordered a pair of black first drop pants and im super siked about them, cant wait to hear that they've arrived from the manufacturers

hate to say it im goin bogner this year. i found some in the sale bin at a closeout ski market. coat and pants for only $65 stoked on this deal. its a 2 layer shell rated at 2,000 mm h20 proof, but lesh (owner of first drop) said that all 2 layers are the same. STOKED the fit of bogner is so ill too.

Im going to say that both first drop and saga are two NEW but great companies..... Obviously saga is doing something right to have athletes like "Dirt-ski" and others riding for them, Saga is a small company and is relatively new, however, they have proven themselves through making a great product, that works, looks great, and appeals to what kids are looking for.First Drop, based around Mr. Lesh's ideas, is new, the new new, I have skied, with Lesh, and hearing what he has done, and the time he has put in, will bring about a product that ill be nothing short of great. The kid busts his ass skiing and goes lots of places so Im sure he does not want to wear a product that sucks and he created. Functionality with great style is something that First Drop seems to be achieving.

Just to clarify, I NEVER said all 2-layer outerwear is the same.
This year the suit is 8,000mm, expect way doper, techier fabric next year. Every year, buildin' that shit. You know, you know.
Thanks for the stoke,
-First Drop

You're right in that the colours faded in the 07/08 season, but last years didn't fade for me. I have had two pairs of Saga pants from the 08' season and both faded a little, but not nearly as bad as it seems on the pros' setups. And my 09' Saga jacket hasn't faded a bit. Completely different fabric. It's also extremely waterproof, which is a bonus. And I like the shell factor since you can wear it on any day, just layer up for the cold days.
First drop seems legit too. I'll probably pick up some next season once everyone's tested it. But if you get it then you will be one of very few people that have that suit. Uniqueness is always a good thing. And the bib idea is really a good one.

personally i would go with saga, just because i think first drop has ugly colors and the design sucks imo, very bland

are you guys going to make any more types of suits and build up a whole line? you know, to aviod those awkward stare downs with the race kids that pose as steezy in the park that are done for the day with racing. because i really like your stuff but when you cruise up to someone with the same gear as you, you get pretty mad lol

ya they are the shit. out of those two selecions i'd say saga cause they are an older company and its 20k waterproof/breathability.

Weak. Saga and Last Drop can't be compared. Real dope that Lesh spent 6 months doing some homework. Add a few more years, sell a couple thousand kits and maybe he'll be a small blip on the radar. Pants are too baggy, jacket is too small, colors are busted, and the waterproofing won't keep you dry at Big Bear.

Sorry but I have some problems with First Drop,
1. 8K is not going to do too much in stormy conditions, be expecting water to soak through easily.2. POCKETS??????????? Why do you need a pocket in the middle of your back where you wont even be able to reach it? Why have a pocket in the EXACT CENTER of your stomach, I mean some people might like it but i think its retarded.3.Saga is way more waterproof, been around longer. Well trusted, durable, outerwear. First drop is some new company with pocket where you cant even reach them.....just my thoughts

I got first drop and my buddy got saga this year and I wish I went with saga as well. Mostly just for the sizing though I'm 6'2" and about 200lb and the FD jacket is just a bit slim in the back area like it makes it annoying to bend over and pick up stuff, and slim around the legs. But I find it strange that the XL jacket is a little to slim yet the pants are massive.

I would never own that First Drop shit.

They say 8K is plenty, well let me tell you something, when you're skiing coastal areas, and it rains almost as much as it snows, you come to appreciate a waterproof rating, and they are NOT all equal.

I have been soaked through in 10K gear...high quality stuff like HH, and others too, not some cheap crap.

I don't buy anything under 20K as a result, and you can tell the difference.

Days I would've gone in after lunch because I would've been so wet and cold in 10K gear, I can keep riding and having fun all the way 'till close in 20K.

Take it for what it's worth.
