SAGA+LDC+TREW+FD read up

Wow its sick that their actually supporting this. Its a really good idea and I would love to know how this turns out.

This sounds like an awesome opportunity for both the companies and Smuggs. They get in depth customer feedback on many different areas of use, and he gets free suits for the season at least. Saga, Trew, LD, FD, you guys rock.

the point of the whole thing is to compare the little companies that sell sick outerwear. It is not to match up the big companies to all the companies out there

i cant wait to see the outcome of this. could it be on the homepage or something? thatd be sick

Alright, but if it were to involve big companies too (i think Armada is on the low end of that spectrum because they are beginners) then what i meant was for him to make sure Armada knew a bunch of small companies were in on it. If they knew that and denied him a suit they would look hella shitty cause small companies even donated suits.

i agree. sticky? and props to smuggs for the good idea and the companies for going with it. I will buy the used suits!

You lucky son of a bitch, props man

MAD PROPS

to all the companies to stepping up, looks great on your part.

Smuggs, now that you have full support, you need to take this seriosuly. Like how often do you go skiing ? id invest in a video camera and do a video diary.

i get to ski whenever my parents take me. i mean like right now with middle school homework and stuff i end up skiing about twice a month. but xmas vacation is coming up so ill get to ski alot more. i dont have a video camera, but i can totally use my camera phone for video. yea this is awesome!

still working everything out. i havent received return emails from anybody in this but saga and trew and FD and fds was saying FD is completely sold out and would not be entering any outerwear, which is semi humorous because before i sent out emails requesting enterence to this thing i went around to all of the websites and took down information about their website, prices for suits, availability, tech specs, and ease of use of their site. they must have sold out in the 2 hours it took me to finish the research.

and as far as people contacting me. trew contacted me that night, FD was also that night, and saga was that night too.

no response from ninthward, armada, ld, fly low, or any of the ski companies that i sent emails to aside from ICELANTIC whom is interested pending other ski companies decision. ski companies i sent a request to were

icelantic, dps, pm gear, fattypus, on3p, folsom customs

any other pepole i should be in touch with let me know.....

if you need someone to test them out in the East Coast park and ice category, i'd definitely be down to help. i'd even send the suits back after hahaha

Hahaha i actually thought you were completely serious

but okk next time spare me the sarcasm, it was an honest questiion.

Also i love how me, and everyone else in this thread are all thinking and wondering why we didnt think of this.

sorry for the double post

and please spare the noob comments, but whats FD, once someone says it ill probably recognize it right away but this short form isnt ringing any bells( i know lethal decent saga and trew though)

I think you should focus on those three brands you have right now rather than try to spread yourself thin with a buttload of outerwear to test. That way you can focus your attention on each brand and take your time... . unless i missed something and this has become more than a one-man operation.
I really have high expectations for this.... no pressure :-)

Couldn't agree more, stick with 3 companies who get a LOT of business from NS, its a great idea and needs a solid response from the community before you take on any more companies.

I'm expecting a lot of good info from this... It would be a real bummer if these suits were given out for free only for reviews that suck. Props to the sick companies, and I would give you my first drop suit to test, but I had to pay for it. haha

.....that just happened. If you want to send a suit to SoCal to get soaked in slush all day then beer all night I'm on winter break right now.

you mean this suit? drank and tux pants, showed up.

size medium. coat comes to my mid thigh. the saga tape on the package was a nice touch. first thing i notice about the coat is the nifty tags, which clearly outlines the outerwear's specs and how to care for it. also the tag displays their website, just incase you didn't know what www.sagaouterwear.com was.

also the inner (moisture absorbent) liner is custom screen printed saga saga saga saga saga saga with a multi color tag. pants have cozy fleece on the butt, which will keep my butt warm hopefully when the chairs are wet (even my goretex soaks through on wet chairs). the stitch lines are all real clean and the ventilation looks to be better than most of my other gear that i have had in the past, i really like my oakley puffy coat's vents that come up over the shoulders. saga is a standard pit zip. and inner outer thigh on the pants.

talk about outerwear that makes a statement. the colors are beautiful, and it was a plesant suprise for a "drank" jacket to arrive, as i have kind of secretly liked purple for a while.

alright just a few of my comments to help us all out on here. idk if i missed it but i didnt see your height in there sorry if i missed it. and could you give us a few more detailed pics? i.e. front back side of pants and jacket and maybe the inside of the jacket to see the screen printing and any extra pockets or anything they have put on the inside? just to get those who dont have saga a full view of their gear form inside and out. also how everything feels...is it heavy and weighing you down are is it comfortable for not just skiing but wearing around town etc. Just a few of my suggestions so that those who dont own saga can get the full view on their new gear this year. thanks and lots of props for coming up with this helpful idea
