Saga Cookbook 2013-2014

Duffell bag order came through today. Must say i am pissed off about the change in color of the scout master as its now different to the item i origionally purchased. Might seem insignificant but its wrong to do that no matter how small the change is.
 
The color of the item hasn't changed. We just took new photos of it and its difficult to keep the lighting the same every time. All the old photos and videos you've seen of it are how it will be.
 
sorry if this has been asked already, but how does the sizing of this year's crewnecks stack up against older crew necks, specifically the 'Academics' crew from 2011-2012?
 
The sizing is essentially the same. To get the best idea though bust out a tape measure and compare.
 
Hey so I'm going to buy the Anomie 2L Jacket (reaper/black) I'm 170cm/5'7 tall and I was wondering whether to get a medium or large. I would like a fairly baggy fit but not over the top, help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

(also sorry if you've answered this a million times before).
 
you guys should really make a "leather" bifold wallet. i mean i like my current saga one, but the whole velcro thing reminds me of the old ones from target i had when i was 10. personally i think a nice, simple, classy bifold wallet would be a big hit
 
You kind of answered your own question. Pre orders are there so you can order ahead of time and make sure you get the item you want before it sells out. If we waited until pre orders were done in September to place our order with the factory people wouldn't get their stuff until the spring.
 
Could you not order more to arrive in the spring so that people could still get a 3XL hoodie later on in the season?
 
We could. It is something that we have discussed. There are a lot more factors that go into it than just sending an email to a factory saying "yo we need like 1000 more hoodies". There is time, money and energy that needs to be put into everything we do. In reality this time of year our designers aren't even thinking about 2013/14 stuff anymore. They're finishing designing 14/15 and starting to think about 15/16. We are seriously considering trying to squeeze in a re up on certain items that we so popular. Even though it is nice to have something that is kind of exclusive.
 
I'm 6' 1 210 pounds and I'm considering the fatigue pants because I want a slim fit pant but I don't want something super skinny. Would xxl be good?
 
oh also i got my stuff yesterday. its all super quality as you would expect. I especially love the flannels though, super nice feel to them ,as well as fit. And the riding shirts are an awesome feel as well. for anyone who has any questions, here's what i got

Have the mittens actually shipped yet? I got the email that said they had, but when I click on the link, it says the billing info has been received, and it will ship once it arrives with the carrier. The date that the email said it would arrive was today. So is the issue with the tracker, or have they not actually shipped yet?
 
Got my order today and I have to say saga exceeded my expectations once again. The crossover zip up is the perfect soft-shell and my riding tee is the comfiest shirt ever! props to you saga

Scout master ward, super high quality item. Seriously pissed off that its olive green and nothing like the original image.

Fatigue Jacket Jolly Roger, stoked sick as fuck and again super high quality

Triple stack og riding hoodie, high quality item but received the grey with black sleeves instead of the all grey, again pissed off.

Other triple stack i ordered was correct.

Academics crew, high quality item but again received white when i ordered black, more pissed off.

Flannel, ok apart from the shit zip

Duffell bag, stoked really tech bag

Tank, yeah all good.

So all in all i would have been cool paying the $700 plus shipping on each item and £118 ($190) customs fee if everything would have been correct but as it goes i am not.
 
First off, daymn thats alot of gear. Second how the fuck did your stuff get to the UK faster than my stuff got to New England. Last I checked the UK is several thousand miles farther east than New England.
 
An email would probably lead to better results than a rant in a public forum...had a similar situation happen last year, emailed them and they made sure everything was fixed (and then some)...but I didn't bash them on NS first, so...
 
Its called constructive criticism, like i said all the gear is of the best quality, unfortunately they let themselves down by not checking the order sheets correctly.
 
Coaches Jacket is awesome, love the fit. Thinking about painting something on the back. If you guys do these next year I'd be super stoked to see a graphic on the back, sort of like what L1 does. They usually release a couple different coaches jackets each year with a different style graphic scheme and they're always pretty dope.
 
Really small thing but on the baker monarch pants, on the pocket on the lower pocket, the zipper is backwards so it doesnt sit in the little flap as its supposed to when its closed
 
The 12/13 xl is just inbetween the 13/14 xl and xxl. the only difference is a little bit more space in the waist on the xxl.
 
Anyone else feel like them releasing a 20% off coupon before most people even have their pre orders is kind of a slap in the face to the core crowd who pre-ordered?
 
We are always looking to support our core crowd. This discount was for Steve. He wanted to give his followers a discount. It's no secret that we continually give out random discounts through out the year. Thats how and why we build such a strong following. Some people didn't take advantage of our pre order discounts but are still loyal fans so we want to help out as many loyal fans as we can.
 
Figured I would post in here because Saga would see it.

But I preordered and you guys said they would ship out already, my friends have all gotten theirs and my online tracking code just says you guys created a label but haven't sent it to the ups facility yet. So does that mean its still at your warehouse?
 
What pre-order discounts? I got free shipping but thats it and I ordered like within a week of the product line being put on sale.
 
Free shipping is a discount. If you tally up your entire order and factor in what the cost of shipping would be you can get a pretty big discount on your order. Some discounts benefit some people more than others. We try to do everything we can to help out our fans.
 
Still, I just did the math, I would have saved almost 60 dollars on my order with 20% off, and still been eligible for free shipping. It would actually be more cost effective for me to return my whole order and re-order it right now.
