Saga Cookbook 2013-2014

We are planning to restock at the beginning of December. This is the first time we've ever done this so get ready.

Yes and no. They are different shapes and fits completely. But you can probably get a similar baginess with that set up.
 
Did anybody end up buying the puffy jacket?

If so, is it quality material and actually waterproof/resistant?

My puffy ripped this morning when it got caught on my truck, so I kind of need a new one.. Love the camo/black of the Saga and would rather support them than arc/terx or Patagonia.
 
I have a puffy and it is so pimp, that being said. Its not a riding fit as its more of a causal street fit. If you are looking to ride in it then I would say that you should size up at least 1 size if not 2. Also, it is water resistant but not "waterproof" as it is recommended for street use. ITS THE WARMEST JACKET I HAVE EVER OWNED! Super comfy and its reversible, like 2 jackets in 1! B
 
Can someone please post a pic of the monarch jacket in black?

Wondering how shiny that black turns out.....

Also, wanting to double check there is no difference in fit between the Fatigue and Monarch jackets....?

Last jacket I had was an xl anomie from 2011. What size is best comparable to the 2011 line from this years anomie line? I dont know if I should go xl or xxl..
 
Back order and restock are basically the same thing. It's currently on back order until it is restocked. At which time more will be available.
 
Got the Monarch suit today.

The jacket is on point and feels awesome. I love it already.

Not too sure about the pants though.

Maybe it's just me, but why make a 3L pant that's targeted towards backcountry and touring lined?

It's warm just being in them.

When touring or hiking, it's easy to strip down top layers, and the best when you can go right to just no shirt at all on those nice days. With pants though, you need to regulate your body temperature, plan for the weather, and layer for what you think is suiting.

Once you're touring, your legs get going, and it gets hot in there, which is why I see a problem with lined pants.

That's just me though.

Are the Anomies lined too?
 
The Monarch wasn't necessarily created for back country and touring. It was designed for the the person who wants outerwear that can withstand the elements the signature style and quality that Saga is known for. The way we see it there are a lot of different types of people who want a different fit and style than has been offered by other brands. For example, just because you want to cruise around the mountain and occasionally hit a jump doesn't mean you need to wear boring traditional fitting gear.
 
Fair enough.

I understand what you're marketing towards here, and to put a label onto the suit design is rather unnecessary.

What I was just wondering is why make a tech, 3L jacket shell, and then pair it with a lined pant?

I'd almost think it would make a little more sense to sell a suit package as a full 3L shell set.

Just my thoughts though
 
Yea, it's fitting a little looser than my XL fatigue from last year too.

Pants are pretty big too for my taste
 
If my large monarch was 1" longer it would be the greatest coat ever made. But it's close enough. The slim fit is incredibly perfect for me. HUGE improvement from my 2011 anomie
 
The sizing is weird with saga. The gap in zipper length between a large and an XL is too much.

Large can be too small for some, then it's just this quantum jump to XL.
 
All the feedback from everyone on our team that has taken a coaches jacket is that they have sized down. The coaches jacket isn't supposed to fit tall like our other jackets. It is an outerwear piece so to speak but doesn't fit the same as say the anomie or fatigue jackets. The XXL will probably have the length you want but will be wider than you want. A good way to get an idea of the fit of the jacket is to put on a jacket you currently own, see where that sits on you, measure it and then compare the length and width measurements of the coaches jacket which can be found on its product page.
